Yes it is. It makes them idolise morons or even human trash. How many young people grew up thinking Mike Tyson was a hero? Without Cus, PEDs and media promotion, Tyson would have been a street criminal. Now people even think he's a noble philosopher, a wise and benevolent soul, because they were conditioned with the idea he was a great man due to winning some boxing fights.
The more advanced version of this process can be seen in the AJ project.

I have been watching boxing since I was 9 years old. Probably earlier but I couldn’t remember it.

My sons watch boxing and do pad work with me and they are only 5 and 7.

I think the 18+ disclaimer is just the TV company trying to cover its arse from some
    Bull**** law suit.

Boxing encourages skill, discipline and very high levels of fitness. I'd much rather my children watch this than inane narcissistic reality rubbish like Love Island and whoever the latest idiotic Tik Tok star is.

When I was 5 1/2 years old I watched a gang of kids about the same age knock a boy down, stomp his glasses flat and pound him. At school. Kids don't need boxing to make them violent freaks.

Not harmful at all, 2 sport combatants, consensually competing in refereed regulated combat, with medical care on standby if required.

Compare that with witnessing drunken fights, cheap shots, thuggery, bullying etc in street environment.

I actually think this is a very good question. I think it's important for adults who understand Boxing to explain to children what they are seeing.
I really can't remember a time when I wasn't watching Boxing, right from the early 70's. My Dad and my Uncles, who all boxed, would explain what was going on and also the back story to fights and both Fighters. What was always emphasised was the respect due to both men before, during and after any contest.
I did this with my two lads and it was a good medium for passing on the right values.
My fear is what happens when some Stella swigging bonehead is bigging up Mike Tyson or the bullying amateur theatrics of Naseem Hamed to his kids.

This is so silly, it’s a sport! Do we have to explain to kids why ppl tackle each other’s in football and that you shouldn’t tackle ppl in the street?!

I started to watch boxing in a young age and started to train martial arts early. The same for my kid, he grew up in the boxing gym and was around 4/5 when I took him to his first UFC event. Ppl are too sensitive nowadays.

Really? I’ve been a big sports fan since I was 6, which I don’t think is particularly young. I always knew that sports were sports.
