I will never forget him lying about Antonio Margarito saying "Plaster Casts" fell from his wraps which eventually cost Tony his good name & tarnished his career. I know Naz had the reputation of doing that complaining about opponents hand wrappings to get into their heads. I think & hope he never meant it to go that far but the CSAC were on it like the Keystone Kops. Margarito was guilty in their eyes from the get go. They know the same as I do there was never any intention of loading the gloves whatsoever now but having banned Tony BEFORE the wraps had been tested & found harmless they sacrificed an innocent mans reputation to save face. R.I.P. Naz all is forgiven but not forgotten My sincere condolences to his family & friends
I agree almost 100%. The man slandered Margarito, plain and simple, causing irreparable damage for the rest of Margarito's life. I also want to add what a POS Jim Lampley is for his part. The part I disagree with you on is I am not so forgiving.
I find it hard to forgive what he did but it was always his theme to complain about opponents wraps this time he went too far. Another sad part is the CSAC knew full well that the wrap was totally harmless & that the used pad was accidently put in by Javier Capetillo but to save face they let the suspension stand You describe Lampley to a tee a POS cheer leader
I always enjoyed his interviews. He had a unique take on things. Will be missed. 2020 is a rough year.
