I think they were definitely in the top 20. Likely good enough to beat some in the top 10, given the right fight. But Brook wasn´t just a someone. They could have beaten someone like Vyacheslav Senchenko or Jan Zaveck to grab a belt.
Props - He did too! Unsure how I forgot that. I still think it was laughable that Martin defended a title, let alone contended for one. A lucky hand for Joshua in that regard!
When the belts splintered there were a lot worse fighters that could have won a belt. Relative to the division at the time I don't think Martin was that bad.
There were quite a few on my thread "Prolonged One-Sided Beat Downs." https://www.boxingforum24.com/threads/prolonged-one-sided-beat-downs.588734/
Sadly, it got worse. Howard was diagnosed with early onset dementia about ten years ago. His current health is unknown.
Damn, that's truly heartbreaking. One more on the long list of boxing's unknown brave ones Thanks for the update
A few years ago there was a fundraiser and the stories that came out about the condition he was in towards the end of his career were appalling. He was still boxing when he was virtually blind - I hate to think what he's like now but he's always the first name that comes to mind when people say boxers should be allowed to fight when they're clearly in no fit state.
Your replies to me are stupid you lil turd.... They don't even make a lick of sense. You do for one reason, to troll you little puddle of urine...
