Ok so Hearns garden show is not the only one in town this coming weekend. we also have Frank's 3rd instalment of his summer (behind closed doors) show. Headlining Frank's card is the fight between Arthur vs Spellman. How do u see this fight going? I'm quite excited for this tbh, I like both Lyndon & Dec. The fight is for Arthur's commonwealth title at LHW. Dec, although he has 3 losses on his record is a decent strong fighter who comes fwd, can throw combos and has a reasonable defence. 2 of his losses has come to the same man, in Shak Pitters. Pitters reach and movement is what caused most of the problems for Dec and I can see him been able to get to Lyndon far easier than it took him to get to Pitters. Arthur, altho he uses the "upjab" is reasonably easy to hit. Arthur has a decent right hand both with the cross and uppercut. I do think this is a good fight On paper and I'm leaning ever so slightly towards Arthur. What do u think?
I'm not saying Spellman WILL win but if I was looking for an underdog to win at good value then Spellman at 4/1 is mighty tempting. That was days ago I saw they odds right enough, won't be surprised if they've shortened by quite a bit.
Dec’s losses are somewhat deceiving as Shakan Pitters is a freak at the weight- stands at 6”6 and possesses a controlled jab and good movement. Surprised he hasn’t progressed further. Dec’s definitely worth a punt at 4/1, should be an entertaining scrap
Not seen that much of Arthur and being that he hasn't faced the greatest opposition so far in his career it's hard to gage what level he's at. Spelman is a tough so and so though and tenacious as ferk, so be interesting to see how Arthur copes with it. Good test for Arthur and a fight I'm looking forward to. Might have a little flutter on a Spelman win at those odds.
Wasn’t Arthur supposed to be fighting Yarde before lockdown??? but Yarde said he was above British level! come on guys! Get with it!
Yes, tonight Paddy. I'm quite looking fwd to this tbh. I have to agree that the 4/1 odds, which btw are still available, they are really tempting. Even for someone like myself who isn't really a betting man.
Nice one. Let's see if Mrs Garcia is as enthused as you are when she finds out! The main event is cool. I don't know much about the undercard though. On paper it looks like it could be fun, very hard to tell with these Warren cards sometimes
Undercard is nothing to write home about but I have got my eye on Brad Strand who is on it. He's only in against bret fidoe, so this one is defo not a 50/50 but he's a good fighter is strand, and one against many that is coming through at around sbw. We had another last week in Chris Bourke and there is about another 5/6 who are all under 10 fights and are good prospects around the same weight. I have my eye on them and would like to see there careers develop. Strand is one of these lads. Fidoe is your everyday journeyman but he has fought for an English before and has had about 80 pro fights, so has massive experience. Brett isn't out every week atm so he can put everything into this fight, and the fact that he's on tv might just be enough for fidoe to turn up with "burning ambition"
the agyarko v smith fight will hopefully be decent, expecting agyarko to win and go on to better things
The winner fights Yarde on Dubois - Joyce PPV undercard which this plus the crowd will be needed to pay everybody.
