He knows that Loma is a tough match. Loma is a fighter like Mayweather. Studying him is pretty much useless. Just fight him and do you to the best of your abilities. This fight isn't risky. Its risky as hell. Losing this early in his career can be really damaging. If he already had a powerful fan base, his earning potential wouldn't be affected that much by a loss. I personally feel that its far too early for Teo to fight someone as experienced as Loma. I'd squeeze as much as I could.

Hmm. It’s all about perception though when you’re in the public eye. Talking about feeding his family, like 1.2 million is insufficient to do that is insulting. That comment has nothing to do with business acumen.

You don't always start getting higher purses just because you hold a belt. It's not an automatic. Besides, even if I give you the benefit of the doubt here, $1.2 mill now compared to reported $750K his last fight. So he WAS offered more then what he made his last fight, but roughly 60%. And that's STILL not good enough?

IMO, one doesn't get to decline tough fights once you get a belt. Getting a title means you are ready foe the best of the division. Or it should.

He still has every right to negotiate for a higher purse If he feels low balled. Doesn't matter how much he was paid in his last bout. It was a good win and an even better performance.

Of course he does. But he should also be realistic. Made 750K last fight, offered 1.2 mill this one. Is that a low ball offer now???

The problem is that a lot of fans don't agree he's being lowballed. They think he's ducking a fight which he's been banging on about how he'd win and now he's got the chance to prove it is pricing himself out.

He needs to say what he thinks the fight would generate, how he fits into that and why a 1.2m dollar payday is apparently a lowball offer considering his previous purses. If he doesn't think he's ready then he shouldn't have been talking smack.

From his team's viewpoint, yes. I think this fight will generate a lot of revenue.

I don't see a lot of fights generating a ton of money for the foreseeable future. Just me though. Loma is a bigger name than Teo, but truthfully, neither are well known to general public. Maybe the desperation for a big bout will get the fans, but it's iffy IMO.

Another example that talk is cheap this baloonhead and his moronic father taked all that **** and now that is time to put up or shut up he put on his Forrest Gump shoes and is running for the hills away from Loma.

If i were Loma i wouldnt wait on this clown Anymore hes been inactive for almost a year and the time doesnt stop for anybody .I would say give the shot to Berchelt who is a more deserving fighter and one that will gladly take that type of money and be up for the challenge.

Loma Vs Berchelt make it happen Bob.

Only worth what someone is willing to pay. Biggest fight for him is Loma who isn’t the biggest draw himself. Therefore a difficult sell particularly with no fans and on PPV. There’s a reason they did the Campbell fight in the UK because Loma generates more money elsewhere where fans value him. Teo is holding out for more but if he believes he wins he becomes the next big superstar and will then be able to cash out.

my guess is he’s ducking. And Top Rank sold out Haney who would fight him by requesting franchise on the basis the unification was a certainty.

The only reason this disrespectful pebble-head blowhard and his repulsive baldy-head cretin of a father have been calling for this fight is because they know that Teo is 140 pounder and Loma is a blown up 126-130 at best and they're banking on his power being too much for Loma (who Teo describes as ''very small for the division'') and Loma being ''on the way out.'' If Loma was the same size as Teo they wouldn't dare whisper his name in a darkened room at midnight in a secluded house in the middle of nowhere.

This **** has run his mouth incessantly disrespecting Loma with zero provocation from the the always respectful Loma's side accusing the far more accomplished, established, respected and well known unified champ Loma of being a ''diva'' while his entitled B-side diva ass has been making demands left, right and centre and carrying on like a he's the A-side and like he gets to call the shots. Loma is the P4P king in many people's eyes and rightfully so IMO and this ugly little brat needs to know his place and be grateful or this once in a lifetime opportunity the king has afforded his impudent peasant ass. I hope Loma ruins this kid's career for good before it even gets off the ground.

''I'm not going to have a 126 pounder come out here and try and take over on me. I'm a big guy''

I don't begrudge him negotiating for what he's worth, but he's not worth what he's asking in the current environment. These guys (and their teams) are going to have to be realistic about paydays during Covid.

The apologists have an issue with what Loma is making, NOT the 'lowball' career high offer that was presented to Teo. Let's be honest here.

I don't know why these guys think they deserve the same paydays they did pre-covid.

So much has changed. There will be no live audience. Less people are going to buy PPVs. People have cut back on unnecessary expenses.

Everyone is struggling and this guy is treating $1.2 million like it's nothing. Talk about spoiled and entitled for a guy who had 1 title fight.

Take the fight or step aside. All that trash talking against Loma and he won't take the fight.
