I don't like Floyd lol, I've routed against him every fight he's ever had.

I just think Canelo is quite clearly better than Thurman.

Canelo clearly learned and improved from the Floyd fight, and then only squeaked by Lara in a controversial decision a year later. That's not the same fighter that Floyd fought.

I think it's much easier to argue that Lara beat Canelo than it is either Garcia or Porter beat Thurman. Garcia in particular is pretty uncontroversial. Angulo is a good win, but it's not Porter or Garcia.

Comparing their performances against Lopez is also quite strange, Canelo far outweighs him and Thurman was coming from a long layoff.

There are other factors at play, but I think most agree Thurman had the better wins on his record going in against Pac.

I wouldn't argue against any of the afore-mentioned decisions tbh apart from Canelo vs Golovkin but that's not really been brought up.

The fighter who was good enough to beat Lara, was the fighter who lost against Floyd. The fighter who lost against Floyd was good enough to beat Lara.

It's not strange. Pacquiao and Mayweather are both guys who've picked up belts at WW and LMW. When you're comparing their victories at this class you're also comparing the class of the men they beat. So as well as talking about who's achieved more between Canelo and Thurman, it's also pertinent to discuss who's harder to beat.

Both are absolutely great victories. But one is a victory over a guy who was unified LMW champion, clearly the best in his division and a future MW champion. The other is over an inactive guy who never really set himself above his peers.

Again, Canelo is quite clearly superior to Thurman. We know this because we have seen what Canelo has achieved since losing to Floyd.

Maybe Thurman will go onto beat Crawford and Spence, that would probably change my mind.

I could make a case for Porter, but no way in hell did Danny win. Or even possibly win.

Popularity contest. This poll shouldn't be close.. if it was pac who had beaten canelo and schooled him and pbf who had beaten thurman in a close fight the results of this poll would be a landslide win for pac. Pbfs win over canelo is arguably the best win of the last decade. Pacs win over thurman won't even rank in the top 10 of this current decade when it's over. Lastly pac never beat a fighter as good as canelo.

No he wasn't. Maidana did nothing in the second half of that fight. Name me the rounds maidana won in the last 6 rounds of that fight? You won't do it because you can't do it.

She probably had been intoxicated with drinks or drugs or both because even a blind person would know Floyd won that contest hands down.
