All you ever want to see is two fighters giving it everything they've got, regardless of what level they're at, not everyone can be a World Champion or contender but if they are always game and give it their all I'm fine with that. I've said it a few times on here now but I have nothing but admiration for Eggington, I just hope he doesn't leave the sport with lasting damage when the time comes for him to hang them up.

Haven’t watched the fight but from what I read on the RBR he was hard done by to lose a UD.

Will have to watch it on YouTube to make my own mind up.

In a way I would have like to see Eggington win as he’s game as a pebble and comes across real genuine but Cheeseman the more marketable fighter at this point slightly and favourites often get the nod in close fights.

i think its dangerous having the SKY commentary within ear shot of the judges when there is no crowd noise ....

There was no way Egg was 4 rounds down going into last round ....He had no chance really

I don’t think a UD was harsh personally. Though Eggington lost cleanly, he just looked less garbage than usual and had evidently been working on his head movement. I remember about 3-4 years ago thinking he was a flawed fighter who with the right trainer could make some noise in the division. Add that to my growing list of bad calls

Do you think Brook still has it? I'd be delighted to be wrong but think all the signs are that he's all but done at the top level.

Fair play to both lads. Nothing but respect for them. Cheeseman's better basics took the early rounds, ( He's a two time ABA Champion after all ), but Sam, as always, never stopped trying.
Eggington v Jason Welborn has been a much desired fight in the Midlands for years. Let's see how Jason goes this weekend.
