I think Spence walks him down and bullies him to the body. He’s just too big and strong, and he has the fundamentals to impose himself on Marquez without leaving himself too open.

Spence outboxed Mikey Garcia with a jab. An aggressive Spence attacking the body and letting his hands go would demolish a 39 year old Marquez within 8 rounds.

I could see it being like the Bradley fight in the sense that it's close but clear in favour of spence. I think his output would win it but also allow marquez opportunities to counter.

Did it look like Spence was trying to KO Mikey? He was proving a point thoroughly outboxing him with little more than jabs and ring generalship. Mikey is even bigger and stronger than Marquez and couldn't get close at all. He also wasn't 39 years old.

Marquez wasn't built for Welterweight and was well past his best, by the time he was competing there. Like most Old Masters, he was still capable of pulling a rabbit out of the hat but, save for his well-timed and well-placed right hand on Pacquiao, to end their fourth encounter, his record in the division is sparse and is, naturally, not the most impressive chapter in his great career.

Spence is a fully-fledged, strong and proficient welterweight, who would probably have given Marquez a measured drubbing over the distance.
