Can’t put that on Floyd he paid his dues before he became Money May.. Money was the reason Aaron Pryor never fought Sugar Ray Leonard or Eubank and Benn never attempted to conquer the MWs and SMWs in America..

These guys now are spoiled and had every thing positioned for them to have early shot a vacant title which then gives them diva attitude before they even accomplished anything.. At 21 Floyd won his belt from Genaro Hernandez who was the long term champion at SFW and his only lost was above his weight class against Oscar..

Its a good deal considering teo has a decent youth and size advantage over loma

 

1.2 M is way above his market value considering he is a complete unknown even to casual fans , and that he isnt fighting a big name popularity wise, lomachenko is unknown to general audiences and obscure to casual fans. being A PPV between two unknowns, the fight is likely to sell poorly, so by playing the role of hard negotiatior lopez is taking a huge risk of losing what will probably be his biggest payday in years, both in terms of money and exposure.

 

Don't include me in that group because I have no problem with Loma's purse.

I wouldnt exactly say Floyd was a good example of a fighter who gave his fans what they wanted or one who showed courage ROFL He was really the start of the overpaying of boxers

Claiming you are just trying to feed your family is nothing more than an appeal to emotion. If he needs more than 1.2 mil to feed his family then what assistance has he been getting to do it up until now?. Last time I checked most responsible people can feed a family on a 30k salary.

 

Aj didn't have a belt when he fought Martin. Nor did he have the option of moving to another division.

 

Fair enough if he’s trying to squeeze a few hundred k more as a negotiation tactic but if he backs out entirely then he's deluded and it’s a bonafide duck!

 

I don't begrudge anybody for wanting more money it's his life and he can do what he wants. But I think it shows how dumb he is putting a tweet like that out, it shows he obviously cares what other people think and after all his talk he is no different to all the other young fighters that won't take a risk and don't back themselves, it tells me deep down he is not 100% confident of beating Loma like he says he is. Also putting a tweet out like that like we as fans care how much he earns I am sure he doesn't give a damn about how much anybody else earns.

 

It's called offer, counter offer. Now if Loma doesn't pay Teo what he wants, will people say Loma is low balling Teo to get out of the fight? Let the guys do there negotiations.
