Mayweather was defensively slick I’d describe canelo’s defence as adequate he definitely has a great chin though

Someone here was asking if an average poster could take on Rocky Fielding with 6 weeks of training and a bunch of people were thinking that they could. Those are the things that push me away from the forum lol, any Golden Gloves champ at Flyweight would whoop 95% of this sub.

Only if they are as small as him.
He stands no chance against a decent HW.
    I'd kill him.

My favorite of all time, and it seems to cross most sports, is the “ This man ______ is the next Mike Tyson/Floyd Mayweather jr.”

Jeff Lacy being called a Mini Mike Tyson, gets the soul slapped out him by Calzaghe. Adrien Broner called the next Mayweather jr same deal by Maidana. “So and so is the next Ali”. It’s like a curse, every time it gets said, the fighter it’s said about loses.

Basketball has this is the next Jordan, Chess has this is the next Bobby Fisher. Golf... all sports have a version and it makes me want to drive my car into an orphanage at eighty miles per hour.

All of the first mentioned beat him easily. He's on the level of Mclellan, Jackson etc.

Nobody beats him easily, they'd have a very tough fight with him if they were to beat him

People really think that Canelo could take Price’s power. One idiot said to me that Price’s power is gone and he doesn’t have the chin to take Canelo’s shots. Absolutely insane. Low IQ individuals on this site.

    Price is trash.
If Canelo can beat someone like Kovalev, he has a shot at beating someone like Price.
Price only has the size advantage. His stamina is ****, his power has not shown up for a while and his skills are limited. Plus that chin.

You don’t need a good chin against Canelo when you’re the size of Price. Imagine thinking Canelo could KO Price. You really need to to understand punch resistances pal. Price would KO him first shot he landed. Would more than likely punch through his guard. You’d have to be really stupid to think Canelo could beat Price.

If Price even landed anything clean, which I doubt he could. I am talking about skills. And the gap between those two is immense.
Canelo could KO Price. Why do I say so? Well because Price doesn´t take punches all that well and his gas tank is really, really bad. Plus I think Canelo is all wrong for him style wise. A late stoppage is what I see happening.

Price is a very, very tentative fighter. He takes his time. This would be made even worse by someone so defensively sound as Canelo. The more you miss, the less your are going to throw, especially power punches.
And Price doesn´t really throw the right hand with much authority to begin with. At least he doesn´t land it often. And we are talking about landing against guys like Allen and Ali.
Price is a stationary fighter who takes his sweet time and his defense is the basic cover up. He is as easy to read as anyone. This is why Chisora had no trouble just blasting him.
Even against Kashi Ali, in a fight which little happened, Price ran out of steam. He later himself admitted so and it showed in the fight.

All Canelo has to worry about is that right hand, as Price doesn´t have a real left hook. And the jab? Price is a decent jabber. But Canelo is experienced vs exceptional jabbers.

All you see is size and Price landing a bomb. I see a massive skill disparity and Price not landing anything at all.

Would I say Canelo beats someone like Charles Martin, who is quite weak? Nope. No way. He is just too small.
But Price? Price would get smashed and Canelo would look like a go.

    Oh, and this:
