Putting words in my mouth dafty. I never said that Joshua was the only reason people watched the fight. I said they were promoting their fight by constantly mentioning AJ. Therefore more exposure and more people know about the fight. Joshua is a huge global name and they know the more they talk about him in interviews they get more views and exposure. Tell me I’m wrong there you dafty? Comprehend what I’m saying Jimmy.
absolute rubbish people wanted to see the best fight the best so Tyson Fury stepped up whilst anthony ran and hid Fury sold the fight not your hero seeing as Fury was already famous your warped views of reality are a joke
Completely twisted my words you have you dafty. They were marketing their fight off of Joshua’s name. That’s not to say they were buying the fight because Joshua was mentioned. They knew if they mentioned #1 heavyweight boxer in the world who can sell out Wembley every time he fights against anyone then they’ll receive more exposure. It’s marketing. You’re too stupid to realise my point Jimmy.
except he wasn’t the number 1 heavyweight in the world because he ducked Deontay wilder the fight was sold as 2 top heavyweights fighting each other and you were crying when joshua got exposed at the press conferences you soft little dork
Ducked him by offering him multiple career high pay offers when Wilders highest pay day was only 2 million dollars. Wilder was being offered more than what Parker got despite having the same number of belts. Also the 120 million DAZN deal Wilder rejected as well is a testament to the fact Wilder ducked AJ.
Eddie and Joshua thought they controlled everything back in 2017 fast forward to 2020 and they control nothing who cares about dazn that deal was only offered because they knew wilder couldn’t accept the deal due to being with Haymon
Wlad, Povetkin, Parker, Whyte, Ruiz, Takam... Fury: Wlad, Wilder and Chisora I have Fury the favourite over Joshua but currently AJ has the better resume
There isn’t a genuine Boxing fan anywhere in the Yulaverse, EVER, who would describe Fury’s fight with Wlad Klitschko as “impressive and dominant”! Fury beat the worst looking version of Wlad that anyone has ever seen and that includes the Sanders fight and it was the worst fight I’ve ever had the displeasure of sitting through! Ah the myth that Parker would have won if the Joshua ‘paid off’ Referee had allowed more inside fighting. It’s an old chestnut now but hey if you want to keep roasting it then knock yourself out. The truth is that Joshua is a very good inside fighter and has a superb right uppercut which he throws from close up, he also has strength sapping weight and power for opponents who get into the push, shove, wrestle and lean of inside fighting. Ruiz won the first fight with bravery, a nothing to lose attitude and a fairly lucky shot just above Joshua’s right ear as AJ came in to finish him having put Ruiz down for the first time in his career. In the return fight Joshua boxed superbly, only thick idiots who think that standing toe to toe is the only form of boxing see it differently. Povetkin is a better boxer than any fighter Fury has ever faced and he’s at least 6’2”! Your agenda is on show here, if you need to go all Lizzy Dripping to make your point then you don’t have a point! Joshua clearly has the better resumé of the top 10 boxers in the world!
This is one of the biggest myths in boxing. It's projected by people who claim to value wins of the likes of Carlos Takam, Alexander Povetkin, Dominic Breazeale, Eric Molina, Charles Martin, Andy Ruiz etc. more than facing actual top contenders. Tyson Fury has done it three times. Has Anthony Joshua even done it once? Was facing Wladimir Klitschko, who was out of the ring for 18 months, 41 years old, coming off the back of a loss, that big of a win? Regardless, he doesn't have another win that comes remotely close to that.
exactly anthony Joshua is a fraud his resume is hollow people think it’s all about the quality of the names but when you beat them and in what manner matters a lot
Yes it is a big win... Wlad has been dominant for 10 years and didn't feel threatened by any opponents so he probably disregarded Fury a little bit. The older Wlad that fought Joshua was determined to end his career on a high, being more aggressive than he has been in years and more determined. Povetkin, Whyte, Wlad and Parker are all top top top wins.
First of all, lets not play the excuses game. We can do that with anyones resume lets just look at the names and rankings.
DAZN isn’t a management company it’s a streaming service. Wilder could have legally taken that deal as he was a free agent who wasn’t tied to any networks like Joshua is to sky sports. Do your research pal. How can you hit out with such an ignorant take.
The only thing that’s amazing about anthony joshua is how much of a fraud he is and how he isn’t serving a ban from the sport for his comments/ped use
