Risko was finished by Chuck Wiggins 8 days before he lost to Sharkey, he beat Sharkey in a rematch. A man who finished his record at 68-46-6. Godfrey was an OK win against an OK guy. Mctigue was 170lbs and 5'9. Stribling was a good win albeit against a man who spent a good chunk of his career sub 170 and fought as low as 140. Loughran was a good win, but Loughran beat him in the rematch. Holyfield would beat the brakes off of every single one of those men without difficulty.
Not a cruiser Holyfield. They all would stand a chance against him and so would prime Jack Sharkey. Sharkey had a good chin, he was fast and mobile as well. I think he'd go the distance with Holyfield who would probably win a SD.
If it would be so easy, Schmeling would time him witb right hand easily. But look at Sharkey's head movement, he had exceptional reflex for his size. It wasn't easy to catch Sharkey with anything.
Woah... we do NOT tolerate any negativity when it comes to Risko the Risk Assessor. Nor Mr. C Wiggins, who was also a proper lad.
I was just stating facts bro, if those facts seem negative to you then that says more about your assessment of those boxers than mine. The point I was trying to make with Risko, is that Sharkey's win over him means next to **** all to me, the guy was beaten within the distance 8 days before he lost to Sharkey. 8 DAYS! It takes me longer than that to recover from a session! Then you add in the fact Risko beat him in the rematch, and Sharkey's win looks even worse.
I like your posts man, they're funny, but you need to get real. Even I could beat Sharkey, let alone Holyfield.
Let them stay in their fantasy world man. In reality, those old timers don't stand a ****ing chance. Holyfield beats him any which way he wants.
Man I don't know enough about either of them to love them, Risko I respect as a boxer no doubt, but if you rate em there's probably good reason for it bro.
Man some of the old timers were genuinely good, and I get why some of the older guys on here hype em to high heaven; Some fans are proper flippant about the old timers that are due respect. Ezzard Charles would destroy SMW, LHW and CW today, with zero changes to his game. Tony Canzoneri with a high guard could probably dominate 3 divisions and there are a lot more like that. I don't think Sharkey is one of those people though, with you 100% on Holyfield.
