So someone initiates an anonymous campaign of hate and harassment against Wingy, his wife and his family but somehow Tyan Booth is funny. Thats why I think the troll and his supporters are cut from the same cloth, complete and utter losers. Anyone who gets his joy from vilification of others is as pathetic a human being as there is.
Does anyone on here know Tyan personally ? Comes across a very bitter. I chuckle along to some of his videos but it’s lowest common denominator stuff.
yep we used to work together, I say together, we used to work alternative shifts on paper round. Good man, heart of gold, can vouch 100%, would trust with my life etc. Then his auntie used to babysit my nephew and we’d all go out to skittles together, or a night at the dogs. Solid.
Since when did having thick skin mean that you had to enjoy whatever form of oppression or abuse? Wingy had a thin skin because he threw away something he had been doing for years at a time he was making unprecedented progress, all because he was verbally abused online by a failed boxer. Anyone who puts themselves online and has any kind of following will receive some form of abuse. He wasn't exactly receiving nail bombs through his letter box, was he? If he was smart, he would have responded to it and guilt tripped Booth into feeling like a loser, or he could have just ignored it. Look at what that "True Geordie" guy had to go through, with all of those messages that were posted online. Sure, he had more at stake financially and didn't have much of a realistic option, but the way he responded was somewhat admirable.
That’s easy for you to say. I don’t see anyone verbally abusing you or your family. Being abused by strangers won’t be good for anyone’s mental health. If he wants to walk away and do something that makes him happier then that’s admirable. Just imagine for one second you had someone in your family with an online profile who was being bullied relentlessly, you wouldn’t say to them “what’s wrong with ya? It’s not like people are posting nail bombs through your letter box! Don’t be so thin skinned”
Your whole response to me is based on the notion that I, nor my family, have received discriminative abuse. Can't you see how that could possibly be inaccurate? I know that your intentions are not bad, but you're being overly presumptuous. It's hardly an uncommon thing, and I have received a ridiculous amount of racist abuse, in particular, in my life. But I would never give up my passion, or something I enjoy, because of that abuse. You are basically advocating for everyone who receives abuse to down tools. That's absolutely ludicrous, especially when the "abuse" is so mild that is comes purely in the form of a failed boxer, making the odd remark, on a YouTube video. That is not "relentless" bullying. I'm glad to see that you have never experienced relentless bullying, because anyone who has would find that comment laughable.
Tyan is funny, crazy, unpredictable, but he does cross lines and he upsets people, that's his thing, that's what he does and he obviously cut Wingy deep, it's a real shame because Wingy seemed like a genuinely nice person and loved boxing. If I remember rightly, I'm sure Wingy said something like.. he made a promise to himself that if his YouTube projects started to effect his loved ones or himself then he would be gone. Well it did, Tyan went after his wife and that was enough for Wingy to call it a day, it's a real shame and I hope whatever he is doing now he is happy.
Look the guy was bullied online for no good reason, your being naive if you think Booth didn’t encourage his followers to participate in the abuse by starting it himself. I’m advocating for someone to stop making YouTube videos if that results in abuse which negatively effects their mental health. How do you know he isn’t doing something he enjoys more right now? How do you know it wasn’t a collective decision involving his family? Sounds like your also being presumptuous. I’m sure you have been bullied and received abuse in the past, we all have. If you were being bullied in your job and that was taking a toll on you an even your families mental health, I would encourage you to pursue another job that you can have success at whilst at the same time not receiving abuse from someone who doesn’t receive any real punishment. I am presuming me and you both haven’t received online abuse to the level of Wingy, whilst working in an online capacity, which means you don’t know enough about what he experienced to tell him to put up with it. You seem more annoyed at Wingy than the idiot who regularly abuses and insults Wingy and many others?
Anyone seen the group of trols on boxing twitter? Seems like a group of 20 of them, mostly fake names, some real, Sam Dosset is one i think. Bunch of ****s, all bullies ganging up as usual.
Plus it's one thing getting online abuse, it's another if they start going after you wife or family. It's seriously pathetic behaviour.
