I’ve always been of the opinion that the fighter and only the fighter should set the pay rate they find acceptable to be punched in the head, mouth and body. However I also believe that changes when you call someone out repeatedly.

Lopez knocked out Commey and was riding high, life was good. Now he’s come down and most likely wants no part of Loma. Gonna pull a page from the Canelo playbook and wait a few more years and see what happens. Maybe Loma gets beat, maybe he begins to slow down and if Lopez is still relevant he can take his chances then. Thoughts?

Nope. Canelo and Floyd always had options. What's Lopez's options?

The only one to unify with is Loma.

The IBF doesn't have a mandatory at 135 right now but the highest ranked opponents are George Kambosos and Gustavo Lemos (whoever the **** they are)

Any decent fill-in opponent that TR has like Verdejo is going to Loma not Lopez.

On top of this Lopez is killing himself to make 135. He can't stay long at all. Better options for him at 140 but those guys are big, dangerous and none pay like Loma. If he wants this particular payday at 135 it's gotta be Loma and it's gotta be now.

He could go up to 140 and fight Regis Prograis but that's a brutal fight against a big rugged man for much much less money.

Verdejo doesnt even have a punchers chance like Lopez does. **** fight

I'd prefer he'd fight Gamboa if Teo dont want that smoke

So who is Lopez getting in excess of 1,200,000 to fight then if not Loma? Do tell.. he says it's about the money, so show us the money Teo..

His option is not to be beaten and quit on the stool for 1.2 mil. You may not like it but that IS, in fact, an option. Not sure what you’re saying “nope” to exactly.
