AJ will will be the only one to fight Usyk. Wilder ,Fury would not fight Usyk

We all want to see the best fight the best, but the more I think about it, the more I don't think it matters if Fury fights him or not.

Usyk, as good as he is, is just too small for Fury, and it makes a bad fight aesthetically. He has already beaten five cruiser weight titlists and a couple of guys who are good enough to win belts in the future, so if he beats Parker and digs up another lesser heavyweight titlist or two, that is a great career anyway. Maybe even the better path for Olexander.

Then again, I could be wrong, and maybe with Usyk's iron will, he is the guy to figure Fury out. I am just saying that I am not going to cry about it either way.

 

Fury says a lot of things. I wouldn't take any of it seriously.

Fury's reason for not fighting Usyk is simply that Wilder and Joshua fights are ''superfights'' and Fury-Usyk isn't. If Usyk beat Joshua or had a belt, some hype at HW etc., and Fury did not have Wilder/Joshua fights on the table, he'd fight Usyk. He clearly respects Usyk by some of the comments he's made but also likes to taunt other fighters.

Nevertheless, Fury would likely consider Usyk is an easier fight than Joshua and Wilder, not because Joshua and Wilder are better boxers, but because they're much bigger and much bigger punchers. Fury can afford to make plenty of mistakes against Usyk and not be KO'd, his brawl mode plan B is also more available if he gets behind. He only has a limited set of 'lives' against Joshua and Wilder. I like Usyk but Fury is most likely too big for him, and too fast for a big man to just box circles around. Usyk knows Fury is the ultimate challenge for him at HW.

 

Usyk if he performs well at HW is a danger the whole division but it's not a big fight in terms of PPV. So that's a big excuse there.

 

Chisora will be a bigger test for Usyk than the mediocre Parker

 

The onus is on Usyk,, with one win over a mediocre heavyweight there's simply no clamoring at present to see him fight Joshua, Fury or Wilder. He has to beat someone of note convincingly to stir up interest in a big fight. But like too many fighters today, just sit around and sooner or later maybe a shot will come your way.

Chisora is a fine perennial win-some, lose-some contender, but even the second fight was waste of Fury's time.
