Pulev's Jab, chin, workrate and clinch forward style Will be problems for Joshua. He doesnt have The one shot power of Wlad in either hand and Pulev will put Joshuas gastank at test.

Tbh most guys that came to fight joshua all came with the same idea....go on the backfoot...try to tire him out then you might get him later on. Every one of them got dispatched barring parker without really landing anything.

The guys that caused him problems we,re whyte, povetkin, klitchko and ruiz. Three of them came with the mentality of fighting him.

Joshuas there for the taking if you push him back. Easier said than done but its by far the best gameplan if you want to win the fight anyway. Hes vulnerable. Hence why he ran for his life against ruiz in the second fight. Anyone in or around boxing should know that by now.

Alright. Fair enough. But it´s not as simple as landing just one clean shot.
    Wlad managed to drop him.
Whyte hurt him as did Povetkin.
But Ruiz landed bomb after bomb on him before getting the stoppage. And Joshua still got up to his feet every time.

No way Pulev can go in there with the idea of scoring a KO.

You have the right idea here. Pulev needs to pressure Joshua. But to just look for the KO? Nah, it won´t work like that. Smart pressure and boxing are the key.

Obviously at that level...you dont just go out there swinging. But you do need to throw punches with intent. What i,ve seen of pulev is he pretty much does everything with the jab. It works for him. He really needs to change it up for this fight tho.

You cant be sitting on the back foot with the jab...trying to nullify joshuas work. Need to get on the frontfoot with him and try to push him back otherwise its really just a matter of time.

You wont keep him off with a jab with pulev,s skillset. Jab will be useful but he has to be willing to take the risk of pushing forward against joshua. Its probably the safest place to be. He had no answer for ruiz when he went forward putting his punches together. When whyte went forward it resulted in joshuas most amatuer performance we,ve seen from him yet. And povetkin should have been up on the cards against him by going forward. Sitting off joshua waiting for him to either tire or make a mistake...will just result in guys not giving themselves a real chance of winning.

Pulev doesnt really have the style for it...but i dont really think you need the perfect style for it anyway...just the right tactics. Still there is very few guys that can actually beat joshua...but they at least give themselves a chance by going forward against him.

Although another problem pulev faces is his age. To go forward takes energy that these guys cant keep up...so he kind of has to hope the jab game works...which it wont....probably why hes been picked for the fight tbh. Imo he has to forget about that tho tzke the risk and see what happens. Depending on how he approaches it...it,ll either end with pulev not really getting going in the fight....and get knocked out without landing anything of note. He may well get knocked out fighting the other way...but at least he,ll put himself in with a chance to win it.

I think Pulev is washed and he is only turning up to lay down. I cant see this lasting more than about 5 rounds.

If he does take his training seriously and comes into it with a winning mindset, then he still gasses and loses because he is 40. The magic number when boxers go off like a rotten egg.

So either way he is a hopeless case in this fight. It is a gimme easy win for AJ.

Big Big Big difference though between a boxers level at 33 and that same boxer at 40.

HW boxers go off like rotten eggs at aged 38-40.

Pulev is past it, absolutely past it.

Why oh Why, is the HW boxing division allowing so many 40 year olds who should be fighting on the seniors tour or playing golf... title shots? Is it because they are an easy touch and still have a high ranking from fights they won 5 years ago? It is embarrassing at this point.

Joshua’s only gets in trouble when he dispenses with subtlety and starts trading with his opponent.
When he does that he throws away his advantages and allows his opponent to have a shared chance of landing big first! We saw that specifically in the Whyte, Povetkin and Ruiz fights.

When he boxes smart, as he did in the first 2 1/2 rounds of the Ruiz fight, we see him put together some excellent combinations and often land the power punches that break his opponents down. He actually dropped Ruiz with a superb 3 punch combination that was delivered at speed with accuracy and power.

If he boxes that way throughout the remainder of his career then not only will he be difficult to beat it’ll be very very hard to survive the distance against him.

One thing he needs to be better at is judging when his opponent is ready to go, he got it wrong against Whyte and Ruiz and got tagged himself when going for the finish.

Pulev has to make AJ respect him. Has he the power to do that? Idk. Kubrat's 39 now, so nearly 40. I don't think he can win a decision. I see Joshua stopping him.
