A head butt will throw the movement of a boxer and his train of thought off by tenths of a second. Within tenths of a second a punch can be thrown that otherwise could have been slipped rather than landed flush. At the point of the head butt.....( by regulations) the fighter who was head butted should have had time to recover which would negate any over-inflated body shot and/or left hook right hand.

In the heat of battle many things run through your mind , such as " why didn;t the ref see that,,,,," what's going on here" and it all happens in a split second which is enough time to be knocked out.
It's a breech in concentration that can make or break any fighter regardless of how skilled.

Sorry folks, I call foul here and suggest a rematch, based on Joel Cortez AND THE COMMISSIONS POINT OF VIEW.
Further adding to this....if we're going by the rules and if a clearly BEATEN fighter can be awarded championship belt due to a refs poor judgement, then these rules should be applied to every fighter and not just one or two.

It was an unfortunate event which seemed to have quite a big impact on the fight . Lets just get a third fight and then we won't need to argue about it .
