He was a good value contender who never quite managed to grab a belt in so many attempts. Come forward fighter who'd look to exhange, decent foundamentals, 2 fisted but his ability to evade punches was his big weakness. He pushed Casamayor and Diaz to the wire but Marquez seemed a class above. Still he pushed Marquez to bring out a brilliant performance, so credit to him there. He went as far as he could in boxing with the limited skillset he had and pretty much left it all in the ring. No shame in that.

I realy thought he'd beat Casamayor.

Going into the Casa fight and the Marquez fight he was in excellent form and a well deserving challenger.

Probably most well known for his war with Earl.

He was an exciting contender who could whack and provided us with some cracking fights e.g. his fight with Graham Earl.

His problem was he took too many shots but I'll always remember him being brought over to the UK to fight Kevin Mitchell at Upton Park which was really meant to be Mitchell's coming out party and Katsidis walked through him.

Making it to be a top 10 contender as a boxer makes you a fair site better than average

Katsidis never walked away from a fight no matter what the odds and achieved far more
than the average pro boxer. Michael always did Aust proud with his fighting spirit.

C-Fighter at best. He's second rate even compared to someone like Gatti. Big heart and always makes for fun excting fights, but he was such a limited fighter overall. The highlights of his careers were his wars with Earl, Amonsot, Casamayor, underperforming against Diaz, his upset win over Kevin Mitchell, managing to drop JMM, and him shouting "WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING AT" at Robert Guerrero at the pre-fight staredown before proceeding to take a beating from Guerrero.

Solid crowd pleasing brawler. Not a world class fighter but not bad by any stretch. He had serious power in his left hook and was tough as old boots.

Fun fighter to watch. A less skilled Gatti imo

Katsidis was in some fantastic fights. He was way too easy to hit but he had a huge heart which pulled through in a few wars.

Sadly he used his face as his defence far too much. He was and always will be one of my favourite fighters though.
