Co-main event to Cecilia Brækhus vs. Jessica McCaskill the fifteenth of August on DAZN in Tulsa, OK. I'm torn on this one (at least rooting interest-wise) - Madrimov is a BIG-TIME prospect that I'm really excited about, whom it would suck to see get derailed/exposed...but on the other hand Walker is among the sport's most wholesome feel-good stories (read about his messed up childhood, during which he started his thirteen years of hard time - released at 29 only to start a pro boxing career like a boss, and not instantly become a cannon-fodder journeyman) and he's no slouch either, having only ever lost a pair of close decisions against Brandon "The Cannon" Adams on the Contender and the late Patrick Day. My pick is the Uzbek, probably via stoppage, but I'm hoping the Plaqueminian (from the swamps near Baton Rouge) can acquit himself well and that it ends mercifully quick & clean.
We finally have a fairly interesting fight coming up this weekend - Israil Madrimov v Eric Walker. Walker is Madrimov's first decent opponent and will provide a good test for him.
