When it comes to who the more skilled and overall better fighter is, then it’s Usyk. My only hesitation at picking him with any conviction is that we’ve never seen his chin take a smashing from a heavyweight who can punch like Morrison.

What makes you think Morrison punches harder than someone like Gassiev?

Gassiev probably enters the ring 210-215 pounds come fight night, there is not much of a size gap

And Morrison didn't demonstrate his power against especially good opposition. Gassiev has probably beaten guys better H2H than who Morrison beat at heavyweight.

I can' t believe how underrated Is Morrison on this forum. The guy was a serious fighter that could hit harder than Tyson shot for shot and it is no joke and he was fast. If tommy lands clean you are going to sleep 100%, and usyk does not have the chin of George Foreman

We don’t really know yet regarding Usyk at heavyweight.
He’s obviously a very good and skilled operator but I wouldn’t commit yet to the notion that he beats Morrison.

With early weigh ins and rehydration guys up to 220 pounds could comfortably make cruiserweight. I don't think peope appreciate just how big some of todays cruiserweights are come fight time.

Virtually all of Ali's ranked opponents could have made cruiserweight. Frazier, Norton, Liston, etc could all fight at cruiserweight today.

Usyk is multiple steps above Morrison. If a shot Carl Williams can out-box and drop Morrison for rounds on end, so can Usyk. If Bentt can obliterate Morrison in one round, then Usyk can do it over 12.

Any talk of Usyk not being tested vs HWs simply isn't true. The guys fought guys who are weighing 210-215lb on fight night since his debut. Last time I checked, those are heavyweights. And it's only 10lbs heavier than Morrison himself weighed, and above 200lbs, 10lbs means next to nothing.

Usyk moves to his left, jabbing. Morrison follows, loading up on his left hook whilst Usyk disarms it and boxes him like he did Gassiev for all 12.

You don't get to claim Usyk is proven at heavyweight because of the fight night weight of his opponents. No more than A welterweight can claim he's been tested at middleweight for fighting Joe horn
