Well i have really enjoyed the matchroom shows.Cheeseman v Eggington and Harper v Jonas were brilliant entertainment
Hard lad is Traynor but I didn't know he was still even boxing. @David McAllister you still train him?
What's the point? What does anybody gain from this? Frampton cant be short of money, he surely can't need a fight because he needs money urgently, he would be tested more with a decent sparring partner. A decent sparring session behind closed doors would be more beneficial. It's a cheap opponent, insulting to boxing fans, insulting to BT and this is why in my opinion FW is desperate to try and get Hearn to help him out.. because if this is best he can serve up then he is bang in trouble. BT can't be happy with this crap, it's an awful card, absolutely awful, I love boxing, I won't be watching this card, there is not much sport on but I would actually turn this over to watch the news.
One fight in 2 years and it was a points win over a journeyman. I can’t believe a boxing board has allowed this to be honest.
If they were smart they would have got Kane Baker to move across from the Matchroom bubble to fight Frampton. He’s no worse than Traynor and atleast they could have sold it as a rocky story of missing his chance and now getting an opportunity against Frampton
The Frampton fight is dross, but... Troy Williamson vs Harry Scarf is very good match up. Alfie Sharp vs Jeff Ofori is step up Michael Conlan also taking a step up. Still not convinced he is that good so might be a close fight. Scratch the Frampton fight and I think it is quite decent.
Reminds me of when Enzo Maccarinelli was lined up to fight Ezra Sellers on the Calzaghe Kessler undercard. Sellers had one win over a journeyman in a similar time period. Somehow this meant Sellers scraped into the top 15 for the WBO and the fight was signed before the board blocked it and Frank came up with some other non-entitty. Interesting looking at the comments on here from that time. There's a thread on here and it's entirely devoted to abuse directed at Warren. He's definitely got something of an underdog mentality these days.
