Someone said that Bob Foster gets some bad matchups on here so I’ve put him in a fair one, who wins this?

Bob Foster is one of the most destructive jabbers in LHW history.

But Charles has that kind of athleticism that allows him to get in and out very quickly.

I can't envision Foster knocking Charles out. Charles has been in with some of the biggest punchers of all time in Moore, Louis and Marciano.

I envision Charles taking the jab with his speed and guile, taking Foster into deep waters and scoring a stoppage himself.

If Charles is confident in taking the power of Foster he might even punch with him and turn it into an absolute tear up like Foster vs Finnegan.

Either way I see Charles winning by stoppage.

Charles was knocked out 7 times and knocked down 30 times. I don’t see how you can’t envision him being stopped by maybe the biggest puncher in the division’s history. Not saying it would happen, but you don’t exactly have to check your brain at the door to come to that conclusion.

Charles was too good for Foster, late stoppage in brutal fight.

Charles was stopped twice in his prime. Once on an injury, the other to Walcott. Of those KDs, 11 were whilst he was shot and had Lou Gehrig's, 3 were in the Marciano rematch, where he was basically completely gone. And 8 were in the first Marshall fight, where he was suffering badly with a hip injury. Plus you can add quite a few which were counts of 2/3. Charles' chin is criminally underrated. He survived Bivins, Moore and Marciano.

Foster's strengths were pretty much his awkward aggression and all-round versatility in his left hand. Prime Charles figured and comprehensively beat a prime Jersey Joe Walcott, one of the most awkward fighters ever, and timed him repeatedly. Bob threw a lot of jabs, which Ezz mastered countering, his movement to the left-hand side would also stimey Foster's hook. He'd start landing straight rights over the top and then flurrying after he hurt Foster. Ezzard was faster and smarter than Bob too, he'd be able to exploit the opportunities and openings he created quicker than Foster could cover them up. Not to mention, Charles also had wicked power at 175, Foster's durability wouldn't be able to withstand it imo.

Charles KO in the mid-rounds. In a fight reminiscent to a longer, more drawn out bloodcurdling version of the Satterfield fight, in that Foster would probably hurt Charles early on, but Charles would figure him out and spark him with a beautiful 1-2-3.
