Anyone who can hold and trade with the likes of, LaMotta, Burley, Conn, and Armstrong , can sure enough take care of Starling IMO.
Starling had the skills to be Zivic, but to deal with 15 rounds of Zivic's tactics, don't think he could do it, if so barely. Zivic by 15 round decision, with Marlon barely hanging on at the end.
Zivic was as tough as they come - but a boxer who was outpointed more than 60 times during his career, could certainly lose on points to Starling.
Agreed. And you left out SRR, Bob montgomery, Al bummy davis , the list goes on and on ,,, ooops forgot a Prime Eddie Booker who he handed his first loss to I believe ...and street fighting with his 4 brothers everyday .. .. Zivic way too cagey imo.. .. @McGrain wrote a great article on Zivic .. I wish I could find it ... and would like to hear his opinion

Because no one ever talks about Zivic’s skills ...his entire reputation was being a dirty fighter...who could give a tough fight to anybody ....even if you read some of the interviews he did ...he’s not ashamed of it at all
