In most eras he would. Are we talking titlist or undisputed? My picks would be

Johnson - Wlad knocks him out

Dempsey - beats him and knocks him out

Wills - either UD or KO, probably KO

Louis - Wlad UD - Wlad simply outjabs him all night

Marciano - Wlad wide decision or KO

Liston - Wlad wide UD, although Liston may stop the pre-Steward circa Brewster version

Ali - Wlad UD, better jab wins out

Frazier - Wlad KO, too much power for Frazier, Frazier beats the Brewster 1 version

Foreman - Either Wlad UD or Foreman KO

Holmes - Wlad UD - better jab

Tyson - Tyson KO - I can't see Wlad keeping him off, without his Povetkin tactics

Holyfield - Wlad UD

Bowe - Wlad UD

Lewis - Lewis KO

Vitali - Wlad UD

Fury - Fury UD

AJ - Wlad UD

Once Wlad got his confidence right and began his 10 year 18 title defense run he was extremely tough man to beat. Tyson isn’t lying.

Tyson is usually right but I think any rangey fighter with a good jab and can work behind it like Holmes and Ali haze a good chance against wladimir

He said Wlad "would do well in any era", nothing about champion that I could see.

Wlad would do well any era...but he would have had bad nights against a slew of fighters. Marciano, Frazier, Tyson, Ali, Holmes, Louis, Lewis, Foreman all beat him imo. That’s not to say he couldn’t hang or truth he told he’s somewhere in the middle of the pack there but I think he losses without implying Povetkin tactics there.

Actually i agree with the most of your predictions here, realistic ones. Ali in his absolute peak could beats him by sd based on his super speed.
I see Liston and.Foreman knocking him out.
Bowe maybe was too aggressive for him and finally would stop wlad late.
He should be careful with a right hand from Louis too , if Louis lands then he would finish wlad if he does not then Wlad wins by decision

He'd be elite in any era, but any puncher has a chance. And the HW division tends to have an elite puncher in every era. He'd dominate the little guys pre 1960, but from thereafter he stands much higher chances of losing. In his own era he was the clear number one, I think that he plays seconds to someone else in most eras, quite possibly thirds.

W. Klitschko's Brewster loss was in the Steward era.

I agree, the only fighters I really see beating a focused Wlad would be Lewis, Vitali, AJ, and Fury. Of course I give guys like Foreman, Tyson, and Lyle a punchers chance, but Wlad has the edge in skill and could beat all of them 9/10 times

I know that is the title of the article and of this thread, but the quote of Tyson is quite different:

'Iron' Mike replied: "I think he would have done well in any era."

I agree, Wlad does not get much love on this forum, but I think he would find success in any era and be a tough test for any ATG. He is certainly not among my favorites or most enjoyable HW’s to watch but his skill is evident to most besides his larger detractors.

Of course he'd do well in any era, he's an elite talent.

However, he might be a completely different beast in previous eras.

If he's training for 15 rounds, and has a ref who will deduct him points and DQ him for holding too much, I doubt he would an incarnation of Wlad we've ever seen.

Would he have a decade long rule in any era, honestly who knows. No one in their right mind would have expected him to rule for a decade in his own era coming off 3 ko losses and two horrible showings against Williamson and Peters.

True enough. Mike laid off the pipe long enough to make a reasonable point.

On his best night Wlad could beat anyone ever. On his less than best night, he could lose to many of the HW greats.

I doubt it considering his Puritty,Sanders and Brewster losses. Especially a fat over the hill 37 years old Sanders destroyed him
without problem…
I give lot of fighters big chance against Klitschko including ATGs like Joe Louis,Ali,Holmes,Holyfield and decent champions
like Tucker,Bruno,Andy Ruiz,McCall etc.
