most of them are heavier at their best...the others get dealt with

I think Hopkins is a good shout but i wouldnt consider him or the others current ,except canelo

I am a canelo fan and that would be my dream fight...

He’s 3-4” taller, I don’t think Hagler put on 12lb with same day weigh in either. GGG is clearly a bigger man

ggg is 2 cm taller than Hagler....and to be fair GGG is an actual middleweight in this era instead of the usual weight bully

Can’t agree with not giving GGG at least a good chance against hagler: certainly not in the grounds quoted. Ggg is always supremely fit would be as well conditioned ad Marvin and GGG has vast amateur and pro international experience against all styles of boxing...
I’d still pick mmh but I wouldn’t put my house on it...

Ggg is taller yes . Taller. Not bigger. Marvin came in about 170. Ggg at 172. If Marvin had day before weighing in he would be heavier than ggg. If they fought with same day weigh in rules GGG would likely be lighter than hagler. They are very equally matched size wise....

Don't get me wrong, I have massive respect for what Hagler did, he was one of a kind, a fantastic boxer and fighter and properly old school in the way his career went ie still working and having to wait until the 49th fight of his career or whatever it was for a World Title shot. He's an ATG and someone who I really like, he's not going to have an easy night in the ring with any version of Golovkin though, it's not his fault he was avoided for so long by many. People forget how good he was in Alvarez 1, he was brilliant and at times in complete control against a younger drug cheat. He won that fight 9-3, 7-5 if you are biased towards Alvarez but it should have never been a draw.

Hagler vs Prime Martinez would be a very interesting and entertaining fight

I stand corrected, but you put them two back to back and I’d say there’s more than 2cm, going off records your right, but I don’t think they are accurate. Hagler just doesn’t seem a 5 10” guy to me

Good post mate, GGG ticks all the boxes, the problem is he’s not American, they’d drop their guard if he was one of their own..

Up until Jacobs, who would you of had him fighting at 160 that he didn’t ?? He cleared it out. Jacobs wouldn’t imo of took that fight a couple of years previous either, they all got brave after Brook. He looked jaded, slower ever since that fight, it’s not just the better opposition it’s his speed, he’s way more conservative too..His iq is through the roof, he knows he can’t throw certain shots anymore with the same results, so he doesn’t and people don’t understand why. Chin, great fundamentals and a thorough pro is what’s keeping him competing at this level, the real rampaging G has gone years ago. Without DAZN money he’d be retired now imo

Ggg has continued to box at an age when past greats like monzon hagler etc were long retired.

I'm a huge GGG fan and a fight vs Hagler would be epic. I'll pick Hagler to win. Canelo also gives a Hagler a tough fight but down the stretch Marvin will pull away, may even get the stoppage.

Thomas Hearns would knockout GGG, RJJ would box circles around him and Mike McCallum would make him quit.
