Whom has Lomo defeated in ALL his grand total of 14- 1 pro career that would suggest he would be competitive with a proven ATG like Chavez? A above posters noted Chavez was at his best at 135, which is probably true, but At Superfeather his victims list are Lockridge, Laporte, Mayweather, and Martinez. How many fighters of that caliber has Loma defeated. That's right none. What has Loma proven? Being faster than a bunch of 2nd raters and a old man fighting above his best fighting weight proves nothing in comparison to a fighter of Chavez's caliber . Camacho Sr.,A faster, better fighter with a ATG chin and much more proven against better competition, Chavez went through him like poop thru a goose, what would happen to Loma? Prime vs prime Chavez beats the hell out of Loma at any weight. Unlike Camacho Sr. He doesn't hear the final bell. A better question in my opinion is does Loma survive some of Chavez Sr victims. I believe some would give him all he could handle, if they didn't beat him outright. Again, stop putting the cart before the horse, stop giving Loma greatness, let him prove it in the ring.... Unfortunately though, with his lack of activity, ( He hasn't fought in over a year)and his age he won't prove anything . He will be a media and fan creation because he looked right.
Julio Caesar Chavez Sr was the mandatory challenger for Hector Macho Camacho for the WBC 130 lb title in 1984. Hector moved up and defeated Jose Luis Ramirez on Aug 10 1985 to win the WBC World Lightweight Title by unanimous decision. Chavez then won the vacant WBC World Junior Lightweight Title. Julio was undefeated and has faced a variety of styles throughout his career. Vasyl Lomachenko is a very talented fighter and champion. He is very clever, very tricky, a difficult style for anyone to go up against. but I think even at 130 lbs, the pressure and ring experience of Chavez would prove too much for Vasyl to overcome. i see Julio having some difficulty early, but rallying down the stretch to score a close but unanimous decision win.
Chavez would put the pressure on him, smother his work and break him down. A lot more competitive than most realize but it'll get less and less competitive as it goes down the stretch. Chavez would stop him. People who think that Loma would win are likely biased. The styles completely favor Chavez
