So will Ruiz vs Arreola be a boxing match or a hamburger eating contest? It would have been better for Ruiz to take on Ortiz.
I was going to say "burrito" for that south-of-the-border flavor to my snide remark. I am a multicultural guy, after all. But you said what we were all thinking. I am one of the posters who had urged fans to give Ruiz another chance, but this is not what I had in mind. Gimmick fight that offers nothing.
It's not a good fight, but it's understandable. Arreola is largely done. He's 39, has been looking terrible for a while now, and just wants to get a few paychecks before retiring. Ruiz just had a massive loss and wants an easy comeback fight to get things rolling again.
This is going to be the most buttery, flabby, greasy, sweaty, jiggling, blubbering, blob of a fight as I can remember in recent history.
Like two corn-fed roosters owned by the KFC organization going at it in the yard just before slaughter.
Battle of the Bellies. This is so poor, so so poor, I think this just reinforces just how good Eddies Hearn is, when you look at the fights he is staging and then you see this sort of crap.
