pbc’s schedule is a hell of a lot better than matchroom’s and I’m not one of them al haymon fan boys.
Arreola is going to end up seriously hurt at some point, but I guess this is his only way to make any money. It's a rebound fight after a long delay so no big deal from that point of view, just wish they had found someone other than Arreola. Yuck.
Will probably appear on the Wilder-Fury III undercard in the new football stadium in Vegas to get more Californians to make the drive. Regardless of what Ruiz weighs, truthfully, if Arreola weighs in the low 240s or even the 230s, I think he could pull off a win. He threw and landed a ton against Kownacki. The scores in that were a little out of whack. When Arreola comes in at 250 and above, he's too heavy. Other than Joshua, Ruiz doesn't KO a lot of people. So a decision fight could go either way. We'll see. Either way, it will be a fun fight to watch. Lots of punches will be landed. Good undercard scrap, if it's put on that show.
Depends on if he still feels the shame of how he disrespected himself, the sport and his fans in his last performance. If he does I think he can come out closer to the person who knocked AJ off the bodybuilders throne. Then again it’s hard to feel those things when you have ten million in the bank and literally don’t have to care. As Hagler once put it “It’s tough to get out of bed to do roadwork at 5am when you’ve been sleeping in silk pajamas”
