Hot take. Fielding wasn't a robbery. Rocky did a lot better than Smith ironically. I think I had Fielding edging it by a round(so well within the margin for error) But I believe @CST80 initially thought Ryder was robbed but scored it for Fielding narrowly after rewatching. I don't think Ryder had fully found his groove at SMW during that fight. He definitely found it in the 5 fights that followed though.
remember seeing ryder first in his very early fights and thought he was very skilled! got a very effective style once he gets it going. good to see him doing so well, give saunders a very good fight. beat smith quite handidly, should be champ right now!
The official scorecards aside from 116-113 Fielding, were decent. At best it was a draw or a round in either direction. But like you said, I think he was still apprehensive and trying to find his way, and for all of his flaws, Fielding is a big puncher, so he was a little too cautious throughout, and paced himself a little too much, however had he really put his foot on the gas, he'd have probably stopped Fielding, he rocked him a few times even taking it easy.
Fielding isn't a terrible fighter. Fundimentally sound. Some pop. Just can't take a punch. But was still enough of a threat that Fishnets and co. had to totally drain him as a precautionary measure.
