A man like this deserves better. Punched low and then stopped yet again. The Board must insist that Referees chuck Fighters out for this as they used to. Too late for the brave, honest Welborn but for the integrity of the sport. I, for one, am feeling very bitter tonight.
Welborn has had a tough career he looked old in their last night his gone to the well to many times. Hope he calls it a day. Got a young family and his own business. Watched him many times live and training in the gym. Nice lad who's done really well for himself.
I agree with this. He’s had an excellent career but he looked old last night and I hope he retires. His career highlight for me is obviously the Langford fights and Morrison but thoroughly enjoyed him putting it on Hurd for a few rounds. In regards to last night, he got hit low a ridiculous amount of times.
I'm not saying that I think Jason would have beaten young Cash. I agree, he looked miles short of the Fighter we have come to love at the Civic, Walsall Town Hall and other local venues but that's 4 times now he's been stopped after being cracked downstairs.
His fight with Craig Cunningham is one of the best value for money fights I've seen. Blistering. A throwback to Kostas Petrou in the 80's. The Ryan Aston fight, I swear, took coats of paint off the old Wolves Civic. I agree, I hope he packs up now.
The highlight of that Wilder v Fury 1 card, for me, was Welborn not reading the script and properly having a go. Hurd may have got the stoppage win but that doesn't tell the full story, at times he looked like he didn't know what was going on in there.
