prime Hagler vs prime GGG would be a fight for the ages,

But Hagler takes it imo. His pedigree, chin and power is quite unrivalled by any modern boxer.

Im not saying GGG dodged anyone, far from it, but i think his legacy has suffered because he was dodged. But i dont think he was dodged by any legit fighters either, the division was relatively weak during his peak, unfortunately.

Hagler besides being arguably the baddest mofo to ever lace a pair of gloves, he was battle hardened beyond belief, had an amazing chin, and his quirky switch hitting style was other wordly, and thats without mentioning his meaness, power and killer instinct.

Im not ssaying Hagler would have obliterated GGG, But i just think he'd win,

    Great fight though.

I take it all back, Triple G is nothing more than a hype job who just battered bums until he was twice schooled by a clean living Mexican who triumphed against all odds.

Hagler fought in an era where you was weighed the same day of the fight, so yes. He weighed 157 against Durán, 158 against Leonard and 159 against Hearns.
Even if he weighed 160 my point is that today the welters are around 160 in the ring.
SO YES, HAGLER COULD FIGHT AT WELTER TODAY. The mws are around 175 in the ring.

Even with same day weigh ins guys still DID gain weight between the weigh in and the fight. I feel hagler was about 170 in the ring. GGG is about 172 in the ring.
