    I just got word from Henry Hascup, who has been in contact with Burt as late as today. So he's still very much alive.

    Burt was born (I believe) in January 1927 - which makes him 93 years old.

    You lie! He was retired by then & ringside, when a bucket fell out of the ring he brought it to Sullivan's corner.
    Gave him invaluable advice after the round when John got sick but insisted upon continuing.

    I believe he got his start coaching young warriors in Sparta...

    I don't know but he was at the second Fitzsimmons-Jeffries fight.

    I'm close to 70 myself. Next year it's the big 7 OH for me.

    SuzieQ seems to go away for a while, then come back. I've seen it happen a couple of times. I think he was one of those guys who started posting when he was in his middle teens, if I recall correctly.
