This content is protected Who actually cares about ABC titles and belts, boxing fans want to see the best fight, which is Fury Vs AJ. No one cares about what ABC titles are on the line for it. Hearns does this all the time, pretends belts are an excuse to duck fighters. Remember when he would say Joshua has 4 titles including the IBO so Fury would only get a 20% split. Mayweather the greatest of our generation dropped every belt he won and it never impacted his legacy or popularity. Belts are only what fake champions need to make themselves feel like champions, it's not a belt that makes you a champion.
It’ll be a travesty is Fury is promoted to WBC franchise champion and Whyte is promoted to WBC World Heavyweight champion. Whyte will just be the equivalent to Manual Charr and his pointless WBA belt. I don’t honestly think that Eddie and AJ will want to miss out on splitting the biggest purses, PPV and live gate revenue in boxing history against Fury.
Hearn is just trying to promote the PPV, which looks like a dogs dinner and at the same time, blow smoke up Dillian’s arse.
What is this constant rhetoric from Hearn about the presumption that Fury wouldn’t want to fight Whyte? As far as I know, all that Fury as said is that he has to fight Wilder a 3rd time. This narrative that fighters are ducking Whyte is hilarious. Yes, he’s a handful with his heart, win at all costs, bending the rules character but he’s hardly a stylistic nightmare. What you see is what you get. Pop the double jab and throw the straight right and watch him almost falling over whilst he swings for the trees.
It is bizarre how boxing is doing advanced yoga positions to avoid the only fight we want to see next. Fury vs AJ Belts wont bring you interest, money or anything else. So stop ****ing hiding behind it
Doubt hearn actually believes that m8 & fury certainly isn't scared of whyte he could beat him with one hand tied behind his back imo.hearn knows it's a massive fight(financially) that is certain to be ordered by the wbc so it's probably more a case of trying to put pressure on fury by manipulating the publics perceptions.there is evidence that wilder or more likely his handlers ducked whyte that's for sure.
And at the same time thinking a touch longer term. He's carefully calculating how many PPVS he can get out of Whyte before the UK public says no mas. The Fury angle helps pull the wool over everyone's eyes and maybe help milk Whyte for another PPV or two. He'll have flowcharts that show how he can meet his PPV quota if his fighters win or lose.
FW confirmed yesterday the only fight Fury wants is AJ and that he categorically won’t fight Whyte this year or next, even if Wilder 3 is postponed further. I think it’s odds on now that Fury is promoted to franchise champion to free up the regular belt.
AJ and Hearn do want the Fury fight for next year.... but should for whatever reason a spanner be thrown in the works, he is being smart by pushing Dillian so that either way he is involved in an undisputed all British HW title fight which will generate big bucks
It’s honestly so cringeworthy to see Eddie now has all his Matchroom payroll shills spouting this nonsense Froch, Nelson etc all saying today on Sky that Fury doesn’t want to fight Whyte cause he knows how dangerous he is Matchroom is more WWE than proper boxing these days and Sky losses credibility the more they spout this nonsense propaganda
Slightly confused by the outrage. Joshua wants to be the undisputed champ and go down in history as one of the few heavyweights to have held all of the belts at the same time. If Fury doesn’t hold the belt, fighting him will not help him to achieve that goal. The big money fight will still be Fury, so surely he should be applauded for not being solely motivated by money. However, as Fury isn’t going to lose the belt people are losing their **** for no reason!
