Obviously WBC want Canelo fighting for thier belt. But imagine to the degree his team got to pick his opponent. If Callum Smith choosed to fight Yildrun over Canelo their would be threads and posts galore on how he ducked Canelo. Is fighting Yildrum over Callum Smith not a duck ?

 

Will Canelo take it though?easy money but yildrim is not the kind of fighter dazn want in with their marquee fighter is he.

 

What's Smith going to do now though? He's had 5 fights since December 16.

He's fought nearly a year ago now and the Canelo fight probably won't happen now if at all until say May next year.

He's not going to be getting better at the weight, so it's going to be nearly another year being inactive.

I wonder if it'll still be Canelo v Smith. If not though..

 

well he will have to fight at his actual weight instead of spending 9 months a year trying to make 168
