The only reason he couldn't KO Hart is because he was 100% focused on surviving, and for all of his flaws, Hart is about as slippery as a ****d up eel, and actually fairly hard to hit clean. Eleider while having the far better chin, is also a far more stationary target, which will work against him here.

Alvarez by decision. 117-111 I'm going with. I see Elieder staying on the outside, flexing his jab early and often, mixing in straight rights and also, go to the body of Smith.

Alvarez wins via boring decision, he will take zero risks and smith wont be able to outsmart him. it goes similar to the seals fight only without the ko

smith found a way to land on bivol, i'm sure he can find a way to land on alvarez. Can his chin take it? We will see

I don't think Alvarez had a shoulder surgery. He just had to rest his shoulder for a couple of weeks.

Not quite sure why people think Alvarez is very likely to win a decision here. Alvarez is super low output, threw like 20 punches per round against Seals and gassed after 10-12 minutes. He didn't look good at all. He's not the guy who dominates a fight and outboxes his opponents. He's more that kind of guy who has decent rounds and then again bad rounds with super low output doing nothing. I think this is very likely to be a close fight even if Smith can't knock Alvarez out i doubt it'll be clear. Alvarez might edge the decision in the end but it might be a 115-113 type of fight, maybe even split. Smith should make most of the rounds close with his coming forward pressure style and if he can land eye-catching shots Alvarez might be super cautious too, i think Smith can win a decision here as well.

Very very interesting fight IMO. Yeah I like Alvarez to do very well early and that might be enough to get Joe completely under control, BUT, he better get Joe paying his taxes because he's going to be having his successes too and at his age that might cost.

Seen a lot of obvious picks lately but this isn't one. It's very hard to see because I can't 100% grab on what will be going on very early but I think I'll go for Smith to lose a decision despite a good tenth and eleventh, that sort of thing.

I’m SUPER excited for this. I loved the way Eleider Alvarez jabbed Jean Pascal’s face off. Alvarez is one of my favorite fighters. Tomorrow is so legit. Whyte/Povetkin on DAZN, Shawn Porter on FOX, Alvarez/Smith on ESPN. We haven’t had a night like this since pre pandemic. Love it!
