Two best wins are 40 year olds (give or take a year)? WK & Povetkin..

40 year olds matter Anthony ..

BTW folks, after this where do you have Povetkin in your current top 10 HWS right now?

    Fury
    Joshua
    Povetkin
    Wilder
    Hunter

Brand new top5 for the division.

Usyk to take over the #3 spot as soon as he deals with Chisora.

No, Povetkin brutally KTFOed David Price before losing to Joshua, he wasn't coming off a loss there

And just think Wlad beat a PRIME Povetkin. His resume definitely went up tonight.

Look at his face afterwards along with the knockdowns. Did ‘hugs’ cause those???

    Exactly. Think before you type.

I don't think there's any doubting Wlads talents.

Prime Povetkin and Prime Haye would dominate everyone not named Fury today. And that's just scratching the surface of who he beat.

He did what Ali did with Frazier, Ward did with Kessler & Whitaker did with Oscar.. if it worked for them somewhat then why can't it work for him? Excessive clinching and questionable tactics have worked for many all-time greats down the years, look at Bernard Hopkins.. I'm not condoning it but if you are going to undermine one fighters performance because of it then be consistent and do it with everybody

Sure. That’s what knocked him down 5 times and turned his face into the elephant man.

Povetkin just beat the #3 ranked HW in the world via savage HL reel KO of the Year contender and he did so in their backyard two weeks before his 41 st birthday. And Whyte had huge advantages in weight, reach and youth on him and was in the best shape of his career.

In his previous fight he fought the avoided and streaking danger man Hunter over in Saudi in what was a candidate for HW Fight of the Year, who again is much younger and fresher than him

In his fight prior to that he beat the slick and awkward as hell much younger Hughie Fury in his backyard whose slippery elusive style should be a nightmare for an arthritic senior citizen

In his fight prior to that he fought AJ in his backyard and again was giving away huge advantages in height, weight, reach and youth. He was winning the fight prior to a momentary lapse in concentration and getting caught with a silly shot. Credit to AJ because he has fast hands and he was able to pounce on him and get him out of there. Worth noting that it took him about 7 or 8 huge shots in quick succession to put Povetkin on his ass the first time and that was after he'd been hurt bad by the first shot that started the rot.

And in his fight prior to AJ he fought Price over in his backyard too

He was 39 when he fought AJ, 40 when he fought Hughie and Hunter, and he turns 41 in a couple of weeks
