Found a nice video on YouTube of trees doing an impression of Dillian Whyte.

I stuck up for him when people said he’s another Chisora , I now think that’s true though - hes never gonna be anywhere near world class.

The greedy pudding got his karma tonight, end of the line as far as his PPV status for meaningless non title fights go.

But he will be back, wouldn't be at all surprised if he rematches Pov and if it's for the vacant WBC who knows maybe Eddie and Sky can get it on PPV if they do a good enough job of dismissing tonight as a fluke because after all Dillian had floored Pov twice before losing his concentration.

All jokes aside though Whyte was poor at the end when the winner was announced etc, have a bit of class, Povetkin couldn't have been more classier when Whyte looked seriously hurt on the floor etc, shades of the Shannon Courtneay

The way Povetkin nonchalantly walks away after completely starching Whyte. Reminded me of Snatch when Brad Pitt ices that fella in the illegal boxing match after bricktop tells him to go down in the fourth.

I'd say Dillian is Fringe world class, he's on the cusp but he's not quite got enough to beat the top guys unless by a KO out of no where.

No shame in that though, I think he'll still have a good chance in the rematch though.

I think he blitzes Pov in the rematch. Pov always has that flash of the old magic but I was shocked what I saw of him tonight. He’s completely shot. His footwork was so slow, his hand speed was Joyce esque, his lateral movement was like Dave Allen’s...Whyte will be kicking himself for months that he didn’t polish the job off as Povetkin was finished. That said, I’m still laughing my head off.

I’m just so happy right now.

The disrespect Whyte showed laughing at Wilder, getting beat by the best heavyweight in the world was embarrassing.

Guess who’s laughing now? Now he’s been starched by a finished 41 year old.

Running around gassing he’ll fight anyone and secretly ducks half of them.
Gases his mouth Fury is scared of him.
Fights carefully handpicked opponents. (Bar Parker, who’d win the rematch)
Cries he doesn’t get a world title shot, but rejects 6 million to fight AJ.

This man made a career off the bsck of hitting AJ with a left hook and Eddie telling people he’s good.

Im raising one tonight to Alexander Povetkin. Thank you good Sir. (Please retire, Whyte has to fight Usyk, Ortiz or Ruiz JR for a mando spot then hahahahaha)

Happens in most fights. Whyte actually did touch gloves after the first couple but at some point someone has to think **** that. It’s a fight, that’s obviously what Whyte did.

Hard one to take for dillan tonight....was fighting pretty well till the knockout. They underestimated povetkin tho....thinking he was totally spent...which he pretty much is but povetkins a lot more skilled than a lot of guys coming through atm. Its just that age and size goes against him. Still had the skills tho...to set up a peach of a finish.

Dillan needs to start again now....still young. Game. Big. Decent ring iq. Big heart.

Is he good enough tho...even watching his training he looks totally unco-ordinated. Doesnt look good enough to fight at the level he is. Even tho hes won some fights at the level. Hes had to go to the well too many times already. Chisora x2, rivas, parker, joshua, povetkin. All seriously hurt him...or knocked him out. You cant continually go through that trauma and hope it turns out well long term. Next povetkin again...say he wins that then on to fury then joshua again before the careers over. Its serious miles on the clock for life after boxing. Sometimes even tho you can win fights at a certain level...doesnt mean you should always fight at that level. Need to be careful with guys ghat lack ability or ring iq. Was similar with khan his speed let him win fights at a good level his lack of ring iq made him a danger at that same level tho. With whyte his size and heart/will to win etc get him wins at that level but his lack of ability make him a bit of a danger at that same level.

What happens if he gets the rematch and he loses that, do you guys think he'd retire?

To be honest he must be pretty minted already now and managing some fighters also.

Like bbjc said, he's already had to go to the well many times before.

I think if he loses the rematch he'd probably retire and I wouldn't blame him. He wouldn't have anymore to prove and he'd made his money.

If he wins and gets his title shot and loses I also think he'll probably knock it on the head.

Again no shame as he can get out with all his faculties intact with a decent chunk of money in his back pocket.
