A lot of us appear to not like smith or sky’s coverage in general, so pick 1 presenter and 3 pundits, 2 commentators.
I was joking with the last 2 but imagine a show with loose cannons like them, speaking their minds but at least trying to be a little professional. It would be sensational.
Reg, Watt with Jim presenting, beats out 'arry, Minter, Our 'enry with Des presenting. Guess which decade I was a child of! And the ol' man swore blind that Eamonn Andrews topped them all.
I loved the one man bands....like harry carpenter in the 1980s ...never spoke more than needed...he was a trained journalist and really read and called a fight brilliantly and steve holdsworth on eurosport 1999-2005 (the tine i watched him was legendary in his listenability the way he told a story and basically carried a broadcast though he often had poor quality shows. John Rawlings was a very good radio play by play guy in the 90s. Obviously the days of quality like them are long gone. Verbal diarrehea, growling, and gaslighting....and "company man" observations are the new normal in sky boxing commentary the last decade. The 3 man team on sky i found most tolerable in modern times was the one with jim watt and paulie malignaggi together it had a good dynamic.Let down by Smiths presence. But to answer the historic dream team would be Tv anchor: Tim Ryan 2 x pundits: George Foreman & SRL 3 man commentary would be Harry Carpenter ,Mike Tyson & Gil Clancy
