It's not terrible but he can be taken out, his legs go all Amir Khan like after a heavy shot, he did seem to take shots better prior to ruiz though, since then he's looked very vulnerable to being hurt badly.

Well see won't we when all is said and done.

    He beats hunter though lol

Ruiz was a temple shot that concussed him. His legs were obviously gonna be wobbly after that. I don’t count the temple/era area as the chin. Mike Tyson even said those shots are the ones that f**k you up and are hard to recover from. Stop comparing him to Amir khan who couldn’t even take Danny Garcia’s power, AJ has only been hurt by huge punchers and Ruiz who caught him behind the ear and not the chin.

What are basing that on? Hunter has taken countless flush clean right hands, and has never been down. Also, he tooks shots off of Povetkin far harder than that one, which AJ rolled with, taking some of the sting off of. The left hook that staggered Hunter, was very similar to the one that staggered AJ in the video, so at the very least, you have to admit, Hunter's chin is as good as AJ's. He was out on his feet against Whyte, for a good 20 seconds, Whyte was just unseasoned and a terrible finisher at the time. And as I've pointed out several times already. Wlad hasn't finished plenty with similar shots.

Hunters pretty complete, he just has his hands full with the big guys, Parker on the other hand, has all the credentials to rule bar mentality, big heavy solid guy, robust, agile, fast hands, can punch in combo, he can take anything anyone's got at heavy, hes the only one, just that beta laid back happy to be here mentality. It makes me want to turn on him its that frustrating but hes such a good guy

Not sure how many times you need to go through this...but joshuas chins not good. Its his biggest weakness. Or the biggest one is it takes him too long to recover from a shot. Its cost him already...it will cost him again unless their extremely careful with him.

Hes spent most of his career....handing out beatings. The only guys that have punched him back...all either hurt him ,knocked him down...or stopped him.

Luckily hes a big bloke....and hes got heart. Its been enough to keep him in there against whyte and 42 year old klitchko. Unfortunately it wasnt enough against ruiz. You need to take into account guys like povetkin cant hit him with quite the same force he hit whyte with. Due to the size/reach difference. Povetkin had to start throwing punches from too far out against him otherwise he,d have probably got him out of there as well.

Whyte injured his shoulder going in for the kill against joshua....he had him seriously going. Klitchko tried to pace himself being 42 years old....and missed his chance. Joshua could easily be looking at 3 losses by now. Fat Ruiz, green whyte, 42 year old klitchko. Their decent fighters tbf. But theres a problem there if your joshua. Hes massive. Hes stronger than them all. Hes fitter. Faster...Hes apparently fundamentaly better than them all as well. Hes in his prime, hes had access to the best training from the start....top nutrition...olympic gold medalist. You,ve got to wonder why their even competetive with him.

A lot of it is hes been hiding a big weakness. His chin. People think his staminas his big weakness. Joshuas staminas actually pretty good for a big man...done 12 against ruiz and parker no problem. Its his chin....its when he gets hurt his stamina leaves him...its like hes fighting in quicksand and it takes him too long to recover. Its nothing personal because i like joshua...actually think hes got a better chance against fury than a lot of people think. Got loads going for him...but his chins a big weakness.

If that wasnt the case....if joshua walked into your gym...massive...strong...fast for his size...powerful....hard puncher...athlete...and you instructed him to run all night from andy ruiz trying to box on the back foot...you,d be laughed at as a coach. Without a chin issue no one would use them tactics for joshua.

I haven’t seen the replay of Hunter Povetkin after watching it live. I’ll rewatch it tomorrow and give an unbiased review of his chin. And no you can’t say his chin as as good as AJ’s because the best puncher been been in with is Povetkin. We don’t know how he’d take that right hand in round 6 that AJ took. I’d put money on him not getting up from it.

Excuses. Whenever AJ take a big shot it’s “that guy was injured, that guy was old”. Can’t give him credit for showing a good chin. This video proves he has a good chin and I’ll never change my mind on that. Most heavyweights don’t take some of the shots he took in that clip without going down. Wilder would have been slept by quite a few.

Comparing him to Amir Khan was reaching and you know it. Khan gets hurt by basically nothing.

He wasnt right for 2 rounds before he got his legs back, he cant shake a shot off very quick. Him and Whyte is still a 50/50 fight even after the Pov KO saturday, Whytes better now than when he fought Joshua isnt he. Even Pov v Joshua now, thats a dangerous fight for Joshua...Furys right, they are the same level Joshua Whyte Chisora Pov

Insane take. AJ Whyte is never a 50/50 fight. How is AJ on the same level to two guys he’s already chinned and one guy(Chisora) who has never won a fight past European level. Get real man.

AJ is an improved fighter since the Ruiz loss. It’s gonna be harder to beat him now not easier.

With his chin it makes it interesting v all of them. You'd be saying the same thing about Ruiz before disaster struck and everyone found out that Joshua had a bit of quit in him :D

It's about average at world class level. That means he can take the occasional big punch but would not stand up to a sustained battering. However it is certainly NOT glass if he can stand up (mostly) to the biggest puncher of the last 30 years IMO.

If Joshua fights more like in the second Ruiz fight from now on, it's going to be very difficult to beat him and he won't eat too many big punches. The danger for AJ is he has to make sure somebody is ready to go before going all in. Povetkin was. Ruiz, clearly wasn't. This is AJ's biggest danger and where his chin can let him down - otherwise pretty much every fight could be comfortable and I include Usyk in that.

If AJ fights smart, the only current heavy that can beat him is Fury.
