Yes, it does irritate. But it's nothing like as bad as when Ruiz beat AJ, do you remember? There were literally 20 or 30 threads on Ruiz vs other fighters on here, it was insane, i had to start stacking them.

Right now there are either 3 or 4 Povetkin threads which are on the front page and that's not too bad tbf.

    Povetkin KO1!!!!! Perez > Marciano!

If Marco Huck can have Povetkin going with every solid right he hit him with, and can take his best, then so can Marciano.

Right. Povetkin has been an under appreciated fighter for years. Let him get his due. If he was a few years younger he could have beaten Joshua. I wouldn't write him off vs Fury.

This entire heavyweight division is over rated, wide open to exposure by fighters in they late 30's or 40's.

As for the match up between Povektin an Marciano, it would be close. How many rounds?

    12 rounds.

I think Marciano's workrate in a 12 round fight would be insane. He could up his work rate whereas Povetkin wouldn't.

I pick Marciano by hard-fought decision but Povetkin has a punchers chance.

To be fair Povetkin is prob the best contender not to be champ in the last 20 years. Steroids help but a hell of a fighter. I’d pick Marciano by KO in a fun fight.

Povetkin IMO hits harder than anyone Marciano fought, and certainly has a better chin than Walcott, Moore or Charles.

In his prime Povetkin had a good work rate , good hand speed and skills. Plus he's got about 40 on the Rock.

I'm calling a draw here. Rocky to throw more, Povetkin to land more of the clean power shots landed.

I agree, I think he's crept in front of Chagaev now. I loved Chagaev. I have a Chagaev career set

I for one am a big Povetkin fan and am glad he's hit a bit of a golden autumn to his career.

Marciano is always a hard one for me to evaluate because when I look at him fighting and the guys that he beat, fighting, I'd have lost money on Charles, Walcott, Moore etc who all look far better than he does stylistically.

Povetkin is a fighter's fighter, he'd meet Marciano head on in a ridiculously exciting contest. On paper Povetkin has the advantages yet again. He's got a bigger arsenal of punches, greater size, he's got the head movement and he's got the fighting brain. He's not greater p4p than Marciano but he is 35lb heavier.

I'm not sure of the outcome. On paper, Povetkin. On pedigree, Marciano.

I would take Rock by a decision. Not sure I can pick a stoppage over 12 nor do I have any idea how Povetkin would adapt in a 15 rd era. So Rock 7-5 in a very competitive fight

You should see the General Forum. There's one thread titled.
Povetkin's KO win over Whyte is one of the greatest single wins in boxing history
