old Foreman for whatever reason was largely unable to translate his power into kayo wins over formidable opponents. So how is it relevant if he can't utilize it?

Foreman couldn't role over Savarese or Stewart or even Crawford Grimsley

I'd pick Povetkin at 40 over this version of Foreman.

I think that we're talking about 41 years old Foreman, so 1990 version and not almost 50 years old man that fought Schultz or Grimsley. 1990-91 Foreman was probably his best second career version and he was still very dangerous fighter then.

It's very close fight, I can see Sasha outworking him but it's not out of question that Foreman would use his size and power to win a decision. Tough call.

Unless Povetkin can pull a Morrison and keep his distance, he isn't outslugging Foreman, even an old Foreman.

If Povetkin goes towards Foreman, Foreman stops him.

Foreman was not a good fighter during his second career.

Realistically, I doubt Moorer was ever the best heavyweight in the world. He has an incredibly padded resume and avoided the divisions punchers

A journeyman called Bert Cooper nearly knocked Moorer out so yeah I think a lot of non-greats beat Moorer. Guys who are bad relative to Povetkin at least.

Nearly? Based on your ridiculous argument ... Moorer did beat Holyfield, Holyfield did beat Tyson.
    "Nearly"
Bert Cooper NEARLY stopped Holyfield too.

"Nearly " lmao could have would have blahblab

Michael Moorer was a great fighter and Old Foreman was a world contender so hardly he was "Bad" fighter.

So your comment and his comment are trash

How did Moore duck punchers when he fought Cooper, Vassily Jirov, Smith, Tua, and Foreman himself? He also fought Holyfield twice when he didn't need to and beat him the first time. He fought undefeated fighters who were younger than him like Botha and Bean. He did not duck punchers nor did he have a padded resume.

Moorer was the legitimate lineal champion and had 2 belts. Get over it.

i don't think Moorer was the best heavyweight in the world at the time but he was still top 3-4. The only guys better than him at that time were Bowe, Lewis, and Holyfield (the latter of whom he had beaten)

Tyson was in prison, Bowe was having motivation issues, Lewis had lost to McCall. H2H, i have no doubt that Bowe and Lewis would have beaten Moorer, but Moorer was still legitimately a top 4 heavyweight at the time.

Leon Spinks was lineal champion, you are going to need more than that

How about fighting Lewis, Tyson, Bowe, McCall, etc, etc.

Notable punchers he avoided from his own era include Tyson, Lewis, Ruddock, Sanders

Tua stopped Moorer in one round.
