I think Frazier would win because at that point Frazier had way better stamina than Foreman and was in better shape I think if Frazier could past 6 rounds he will win but foreman could always get him out early
Same result,Frazier last maybe round or maybe two longer. Foreman by brutal KO 5 and he would be staggered by that Frazier and body punched to hell
Yes, as above, more or less same results. Foreman s always going to hit like a tank and Joe's gonna walk straight on to his shots whilst cold.
Joe Frazier was a Locomotive in 1971, he was bound to run over everything in sight. But against a 1973 version of George Foreman, who did not know what small cooking grills were back then, this fight could be an obstacle on the railroad track. I see early success from Smoking Joe, bobbing weaving, and unloading his very lethal left hook to George's ribs, like a Meat Cleaver carving some meat off of the ribs, but Joe at some point would taste Foreman's right hand that would send him to he canvas twice in round 5, the referee would then come to the rescue. Joe is the type of fighter with no quit in him, the referee would have to intervene as in this hypothetical affair.
In this fight quite possibly, because Yank Durham and Eddie Futch were still with joe, they new of George's punching power, his size but lack of experience on George's part of fighting quality fighters who might test him. For this fight it could in a way, a shrewd strategy possibly.
Frazier TKO in 8. The Frazier who beat Ali had unbelievable drive and determination. Had Joe the kind of grudge he had against Ali, Foreman would have perhaps scored a knockdown or even two, but Frazier would have been relentless. "Joe is murder....just murder." Though I have Joe lower as an ATG than Foreman, Lewis, Holyfield, Holmes, and Ali I think he would have beaten all of them that night. Just that night.
Joe had a mental toughness about him all the way back to his childhood. He withstood all of Muhammad Ali's insults, he felt slided as another poster stated, because he could not get a title shot at a peak Muhammad Ali in 1967, despite his managements wishes not to, as he was ranked no.1 contender at the time. That night in 1971 Frazier was like a bad storm waiting to erupt, like i have said, a locomotive that could not be stopped.
I do not have as much faith in Frazier beating Foreman as you do, but everytime I want to say Foreman would win, I always remember the FOTC, and then I can't make up my mind. Really, Foreman and Frazier were two of the strongest and most relentless fighters who ever lived.

Frazier had just had e-NOUGH of Ali. Ali went way overboard on the pre-fight hype, and in the end I think that was partly his undoing. Frazier fought him as though his life depended on it, as if he'd sacrifice his whole life just to win that fight. He had been browbeaten and insulted relentlessly, and it went beyond mere talk. he was humiliated on tv (Ali and his brother gang rushing him). I rarely see that kind of vicious determination in a fight, before or since. Frazier was going to win or die.
