This wouldn’t surprise me. I’ve noted a slight sense of frustration in Eddie‘s voice when he talks Buatsi and I think there has been occasions when he has wanted to put him on cards but it hasn’t worked out. Its also a bit strange as I thought AJ was supposed to be his Manager, but he never mentions him. I think it’s really essential that Eddie and Frank seriously discuss Yarde - Buatsi and try to plan something in. Joe Smith is probably likely to get the WBO belt in the near future, blocking Franks favoured path as he would probably smash Yarde (and Buatsi) and we know about the other killers in the division. Putting the two together, brings a chance to generate big money without having to fight at elite level.
Saw Buatsi at an FW show at York Hall last September. I’m not sure when his deal with Matchroom is up by I’d be surprised if Queensberry didn’t make a play for him. Will probably become clearer the situation when we find out who MR put him in with next
One thing I have noticed if these IBF belts are becoming more regular on the FW shows. Think Essoman held his previously but there have been a few vacant IBF ones recently.
Yeah have noticed this aswell, couple years ago you only really saw the IBF belts being fought for by MR fighters. In recent history only remember Paul Butler and Josh Warrington holding IBF titles whilst at QP, then you got Garton, Williamson and Sunny Edwards picking up the IBF ranking titles in the past couple years
Warrington was already on the IBF route before joining as well. Definitely happening more than before
