In light of Whytes lacking any kind of boxing seasoning and Joyce having the amateur pedigree what are your thoughts on this fight??

I would have to take Joyce to win probably by stoppage ....2 plodders but with the size of Joyce i think he does it

Joyce is a better combo puncher and often mixes in body shots in with his combos, he keeps punching making him very hard to deal with, Usyk out-boxed him easily in the amateurs but Usyk has far better fundamentals than Whyte plus Whyte has a tendency to shell up and not be active enough, it would be like the Chisora fight but Joyce would land more body shots, a good fight but I lean towards Joyce.

Joyce is hard to gauge. I saw him against Stiverne at the O2 and was shocked how slow he was. He gets tagged in most of his fights and honestly looks to me like a KO waiting to happen. I’ve spoken to people who have sparred with him and they have all said the same thing.. he’s there to be hit and you pretty much hit him with what you want BUT that he’s relentless and keeps coming forward throwing shots. For that reason, I think if Dubois power is legit then he will blow him out early if and when they eventually fight. As for Joyce V Whyte, I think there is too much pedigree there for Whyte to beat him. He’ll land but Whyte is too crude to beat an Olympian.

I'm just not convinced by Joyce. He's two years older than Whyte and not as seasoned as him in the pro ranks. I think he's going to get found out when he steps up, he's a bit too slow and looks like an easy target . I'm Going with a Whyte KO.

Whyte knocked Chisora with one shot Dubois has never KO`d a fighter as good as Chisora and doesn`t display one punch KO power, Johnson was destroyed by AJ in 2 rounds but went the distance with Dubois, he is not as good a finisher as AJ who stopped Johnson in his 13th fight while Dubois fought Johnson in his 9th fight, he is not ready for Whye`s level yet and might not be at Joyce`s level either.

Both Joyce and Whyte land a lot to the body, I`d say that would be a feature if they ever met in the ring.

As said above, Joyce is sooooo slooooooooow but he’s relentless. I think he could be a hard nights work for any of the top heavyweights, Joshua, Fury and I’d back him to stop Wilder. This is why the Dubois fight was/is so good. It’s a top fight amongst two genuine prospects (I know Joyce is old but he’s still a prospect on the world level).

I agree, except on the Wilder one. Wilder explosive umorthodox shots would take Joyce out early imo. To beat Wilder you need to be good defensively, as well as in attack. Joyce to easy to hit.

Can see this being made if Dubois beats Joyce and Joe leaves BT/Frank and is a free agent.

I’d favour Whyte as he has more about him- Joyce is durable but screams European/fringe World gatekeeper and is getting on even for a heavyweight.

Really? Since 2015, Whyte’s only early win was against 39 year old Malcolm Tann.

Whytes a very good body puncher and Joyce showed in Jennings fight he’s susceptible To body shots so I’m going to go with Whyte.

Both are there to be hit, both have a woeful defence. However, I lean with the fighter who has size, reach and higher punch output. I haven’t been convinced with how Whyte has dealt with the sizes of Joshua, Helenius and Wach who are all 6”6+, he looks like the 6”1 plodder that he is. If Joyce can take his power then it’s Joyce by KO for me.

Who knows what whyte has left. A stoppage like that from Povetkin can ruin you for the rest of your career.

I just think Wilder on the back foot hasn’t got a clue. I know it was Tyson Fury and he’s probably levels above but you seen the first fight when he was cautious Wilder then had a bit of success, second fight Fury came on with relentless pressure and Wilder didn’t have a clue. I think Joyce could do it to him too.
