I dunno why this thread is so long. The answer is very simple - Lewis would have destroyed Marciano. Size mismatch. Lewis, 6'5, 245, and arguably the single biggest puncher in the sport's history, against a man 5'10, 185 who was a slow starter who lacked speed.

    Ummm, no.

    Rock gets hospitalized.

No shame in that either. Doesn't mean Rocky was the inferior fighter, Lewis simply too big and too powerful.

yeah, but that's not the question dude, the question is Lewis vs Marciano, the Marciano that was, not the Marciano that "could" be if he was teleported to a time line to fight Lewis.

jesus man, don't make it more complicated, make it less.

False, training then has nothing to do with being genetically smaller,as ALL sports athletes only have evolved into bigger men.If you replicate the fighters then to now, well then they are not those fighters anymore but improved ones if they sustained the size well, and that's only what ifs,on real video footage they were not better fighters. And speaking soley HW's add size to Louis and he would only be slower and be wearing bigger gloves than the 5 ounces he wore,he would have totally have to change his style,as you cannot parry as easy with the 10 ounce gloves.

The only reason this has gone so far, is because half the posts are from mcvey himself.

Lewis would knock poor Rocky out cold.

I don't think there will ever be a 7foot dominant champion who is good at boxing. Too big to use anything effectively other than size.

oh come on, ever is a long time,,, look at how tall the super heavys are already compared to even 30 years ago?

We are half way to 7 foot with dominant champs already??

    What are you smoking??

How can you say such a thing? The fact that unskilled Valuev could go as far as he did shows the future of the division. Its not getting shorter I hate to tell you.

You named a select list, you forgot the most reputable boxer of all time known to have FLAWLESS technique, and that's hands beside his waist ,easy open for rights, poor footwork and off balance angles the great Joe Louis and MANY others like Baer,Braddock,Gallento,Tunney,Dempsey,Carnera..etc..all fought like brawlers or fought with hands down with little defense and footwork. We are talking Hw's in general anyway,ANYONE xcan just watch vids of those 30's/50's guys and see how raw they were, and as stated JJ copuld hardly keep his balance when throwing punches going forward,he was a hit clincher that's what he did its on VIDEO..did you lose your brain?:hi:

Actually Choklab is right for once...being overly tall is going to be hard to do,as it makes you off balance and Valuev while decent was average in everything ,even power ,he had poor k.o percentage at around 60%..Wlad at 6'6 is about right,a 7 footer will be highly unlikely to be known as the real champ, odds are even Fury at 6'9 will not get there, though he is pretty good at everything that's a raririty for a guy his statyre...6'5 will most likely be the usually HW in a few years.

    This thread has it all.

    Delusion
    Lies
    Dishonesty
    Mental Gymnastics

    It really is quite bizarre.
