There are 3,000 people in the world who are seven feet tall.

Three. Thousand. And that's an all time high.

That's nothing. The idea that an elite crossover with athletic skills, chin and that size, is absolutely inevitable, is ridiculous. Statistically beyond improbable.

    Tyson Fury?

He isn't 6ft 9in, never has been. He isn't even as tall as 6ft 8in David Price.

Very subjective the term " Glass Chin " for me the Pattersons of the fight game had glass chins, LL was hit with thundrous right hands from Mcall and Racham, not sure if many HW could have stayed upright after reciving them, so I wouldnt put LL in the glass chin club, but I know plenty would. Here they come.....

That’s some way short of seven feet even if Fury was six feet nine. . And he does rely on his size. And while His boxing is effective, it’s not as fluent or as mesmerising in use as a more shorter, more athletically proportioned heavyweight.

I agree that This is a horrible match up for Rocky. Much much worse for him than Liston and Foreman because Lewis really used his range, control of pace as well as his strength. And the size just gets even more rediculous.

However, don't anybody think it could ever be easy for Lewis. It really is not impossible for a tiny guy to cone forward and land a lot of punches on a much bigger and taller guy.

Orlin Norris did this to Tony Tucker. Now people will answer me by saying yes but Norris was over 200lb ...but if you watch that fight it was not the weight of the guy that kept Norris in that fight and landing more punches. It was the use of distance, dipping low and the closing of the gap. Using the right kinds of punches and dictating the distance and space that suited the little man.

A small man only gets trapped in a no man's land where he can't reach the bigger fellow if he stands up tall. By bending at the knees and keeping low he can come up and under. Presenting a more difficult target and making it much harder to predict what hand he uses. There's no sequence to follow like there is against the stranded man stuck at range.

Marciano would be an awkward and busy customer for Lewis even if Rocky is losing. Lewis will be punching down at a twisting and turning jumble of shoulders and elbows. He will be grabbing at Rocky. Neutralizing much of his obvious assets. Lewis still might have an edge because he was clever but his caution would make it a much closer fight.

Perry was literally the most ridiculous poster on the site for around three years.

Under his previous guise, for around 4 years.

If you're complimenting him for his greatness, or the greatness of one of his posts, you've probably taken a wild and wrong turn.

I always thought I was the most ridiculous poster on this sight? Maybe I have went up in your estimation?

I thought the point he raised that Marciano hit like a hammer was a good one. It improves Marcianos chances even if he would be unflavoured here, and I feel can be outpointed.

I will reasonably argue against the possibility of an early blow out because I consider them unlikely at All time great level.

    Site, not "sight."

No, definitely not. I think of you as lowly as any other heavyweight obsessive who is consistently wrong. Perry, however, was something special in that his bizarreness stretched across divisions to at least middleweight. You post almost exclusively about heavyweights, and although clearly unwell, are no different to the 8-10 other obsessive heavyweight posters who have endlessly repeated themselves for a decade.
