Why don't you count how many flush right hands Louis took from Max before the German eventually got him out of there?

Conversely Marciano was dropped by 38years old Walcott and 38/40 years old Moore, and neither hit as hard as Louis. It's not beyond the realms of possibility that Louis could go one better than those two old geezers.

You are the type who thinks Tyson could beat Holyfield just Charles could beat Marciano....
Yes but still not along before that he gave Walcott helluva fights.
Satterfield was so bad that he beat Cleveland Williams?Knocked Baker and beat Valdes?
Not really years before because he lost every fight prior 1948!He became good with age and was in prime for every fight after 48 because he hit his prime late.
He was beating Marciano so hard that he was knocked in both fights?

    To recap this thread:

6 ft 202 lbs Godoy was smaller than Marciano.

Schmeling and Marciano fought with the same style.

    Schmeling had no stamina.

Louis had the inferior chin and power even though he never got outboxed, dropped or struggled against a fighter older than 35 years old.

32 year old Schmeling who was winning fights was past while 41 y.o Moore, 38 y.o Walcott and 33 y.o ALS Charles were in great condition.

Tommy Farr, who lost to a very wide unanimous decision actually beat Louis and Rocky would channel his inner 6"1½ boxer to imitate Farr's "success".

240 lbs Galento's knockdown of Louis is indicative to what 180 lbs Rocky could replicate.

Prime Louis would get knocked out sooner because he would come at Rocky even though Louis was moving backwards when facing crouching, swarming fighters.

Louis beating 8 tomato cans is evidence of him being in peak condition for the Rocky fight.

Did I get all of it right?

I notice you think Marciano could beat Louis and give him a tough fight even in defeat, but you think he'd be blown away by Liston

Joe Louis only lost fights when the opponent was really better. On the other hand, Marciano never lost. But peak Joe Louis would knock out peak Marciano IMO. Carner, Schmeling, Walcott, Braddock, Sharkey, Baer lost by knockout... Marciano would also lose. Joe Louis's peak H2H is IMO still above Marciano's peak.

A few scary moments for Marciano in the first six or seven rounds. Maybe having to get off the deck. But after the halfway point he starts to get to Louis and that right hand finds the mark and puts Louis down by the 12th or 13th. Then Rock pours it on with a barrage and closes the show with Louis getting caught again. in most likely the toughest fight of Rocky’s career.

And all the people saying stuff like Louis BLASTS Marciano out in three or four…:lol::lol::lol: Give me a break!! Walcott hit him with his Sunday best multiple times in their first fight and Rocky only went down for a couple of seconds. We know the rest.

Marciano was a guy that found a way to win and rose to the occasion. And his power was actually even more formidable than talked about imo.
