Ojay Abrahams Always admired the ‘Why get knocked out when I could get disqualified?’ attitude he brought to the ring.
Mine too. I live in the north and years ago on a day trip to london with i few mates spotted Ojay getting on the tube.Said to my mates sure that is Ojay Abrahams Them not being boxing fans had no idea what i was talking about but egged me on to speak to him. I approached Ojay and introduced myself,he was amazed i knew who he was.Told him i had seen him on Sky Sports and we discussed his fights. He was really friendly gave me his autograph but too soon he had to get off the train.Top bloke
Adam Jones. Guy dropped Scott Fitzgerald and drew against Luke Keeler who went on to have a world title fight against Andrade.
Kent kaupinen turning into a heavy/ cruiser weight danger man. An unskilled big oaf who slings in big hooks and has taken out a fair few novice pros who weren’t you to the job.
I like William Warburton. Recently retired but respected on the circuit. I also admire anyone who’s a journeyman at heavyweight (Kevin Johnson, Dorian Darch or Tom Little for example) because the risk is far higher.
Kamil Sokołowski absolutely deserves a mention as far as active fighters(especially English based ones go) https://www.boxingforum24.com/threads/kamil-the-dangerman-sokołowski.631474/ Solid thread by @IntentionalButt on the hard underrated come-to-win journeyman. Sorry but not sorry.. But if you don't dig and respect guys like him who often times ooze more character than a lot of the champions of the sport you aren't a proper fan.
Forgot about Kamil. Should’ve got the win over Browne as a ‘tune up’ before Whyte but didn’t because of politics. Could’ve been a competitive domestic/commonwealth level fighter if it wasn’t more lucrative to be a journeyman.
