Pretty much. It's a nice way for him to keep his name in the headlines. Do you really think he cares about other fighters? Come on with that garbage.

every1 knew he was the best fighter in the world, that doesnt mean after a win he got the credit he deserved. Plenty of people he was picked to lose against and when he won it was like he was suppose 2 and the analyst downplayed it.

I used the example of when RJ beat RUIZ lampley and merchant downplayed his win by calling him nothing but a paper champion and be4 the fight they were the same ones saying RJ would b tested etc. George foreman had 2 tell them both on air u cant say that b/c that would b taking credit from Roy jones. But when Pavlik beat Jermain Taylor be4 the fight people said it would b a test for him and after he got all the praise in the world. WHy is there a difference there it shouldnt b but there is. SO like i have been sayin none of you know wat he is facing so you we all have no grounds of sayin anything. But from seeing other fights I would say he has a point

In fact Floyd was Mr. "I Love You HBO" all these years. He was like a propogandist for the network.

True. There was one more thing he could have done before retiring: unify the WW division to cement his legacy as one of the greatest P4P fighters.

I am glad he ran away from boxing like a chicken. I hated his cherry picking to remain undefeated. Boxing sport is okay without him.

why does a fighter need to change his style of fighting to please fans when they arent in the ring getting hit with blows? Floyd isnt a boring fighter to me, b/c unlike other posters I appreciate boxing in its purest form and love to see it. So when he puts on a boxing clinic and wins Im cool with that. Thats the problem with 2 many of you fans, its something I like to call the ROcky syndrome. And no1 still hasnt explained to me the reason why Lampley and Merchant called Ruiz a paper champion right after RJ won his heavyweight bout when they and analyst alike said it would b a tough test 4 RJ?

Because they wanted to see him get KO'D. When he fought BHop this will be a test, but it wasn't. So Bhop was never talked about until Trinidad. James Toney was supposed to show us all how good Roy was and if he was fake or the real deal. And after Toney got dominated they took away some of his credit later on. Montel Griffin, they didn't care too much for until he was getting up in Jones grill and he became Roys biggest test. Then Roy KO's him in the 1st round, Montel was not all that good, but it was good to see Roy fight as they think he should. Then Ruiz... They spoke about how this would be a big test for Roy. Went on how Ruiz had power and had hurt many heavyweights including Holy and beat a lot of names at heavy. And Roy's chin will be tasted and when Ruiz got dominated by Jones who started out at JrMW all of asudden Ruiz was a paper champ. When Roy got KO'd they must've been real happy. If Roy fought reckless his whole career he would be celebrated.

The problem with mayweather is that he has a chip on his shoulder has been spolt by the public when they make excuses for his terrible behavour. And the fact he knows if he was living in the same time as carmon bassilo he would be knocked out.

pretty much the way i see it. So for people to say Floyd doesnt have any grounds to say what h thinks, is idiotic. B/c it has been happening be4.
