Give me the guy with real street creed, a proven street brawler and alleged leg breaker for the Mob. ( Very few black men had that type connection to the Mafia) Give me Charles "Sonny" Liston.

Norman Mailer wrote Re: Jerry Quarry " he has the kind of face, to give a marine Sargent pause, in a bar room brawl " that will do for me.

All good picks, but I'll go with Dempsey. He got his start challenging anyone in the bar and passing the hat afterwards. He was an experienced bar brawler and actually rescued someone from a barroom brawl by joining in the fray. That person turned out to be Jack 'Doc' Kearns who would later become his manager and make him into a contender and champion. Add to that Dempsey's life in the hobo jungles where survival was a life and death matter. He even flattened a few street thugs when he was in his 70s.

I just had lunch earlier today over in the St Louis Hill neighborhood where the STL mob used to be. All those guys are dead and gone now but back in the day they were a pretty rough crew. I remember one time in the early 80's being stuck in traffic with my dad because of an explosion that just happened on the highway. Later that day we found out it was a mob hit via car bomb by the Hill mob.

My brother in law was born and raised in that neighborhood. Some terrific Italian food there.

Exactly lol, I was gonna make a post in this thread but the list would just be too long, no one really stands out either since most of them could clear out a bar

A man so intimidating, no one in thier right mind would even start a fight. The one and only Lorenzo Zanon

I'll take the man in my Avatar, noted bar bouncer from Dayton, Ohio, Tom "Roughhouse" Fischer. 5'9, 230 lbs and angle iron tough. A man who fought most of his career after a chainsaw accident where he lost several toes on one foot.

After him, Tex Cobb, noted Black Belt in Karate and impervious to pain. Loved the story about him protecting the sportswriter and throwing guys through the front window.

President Ike or Sonny Boy would be excellent choices too, I'd say.

Andy Ruiz Jr. Everybody would be laughing at fat, baby-faced kid and won't expect hard punches with great speed to be thrown by him
